This place long overdue for a complete re fit To improve the appearance of the place. Some staff found to be rather rude and arrogant when dealing with the public. From personal experience I can state these facts. Footnote present overhaul of the building is long overdue by about thirty years.

I love Bolton museum. Patiently awaiting the reopening due this year which includes a new tomb exhibit. Unfortunately the aquarium is very poor and can't really be referred to as an aquarium. Pets at home is more exciting to look at than the aquarium.

I went with my grandchildren was good but could do with more activeity in the place to keep more youngest interested .

I needed help with my library card and the staff sorted out the problem very quickly. It's a lovely, peaceful atmosphere in the library and of course there are lots of books!

Even though there are larger places like Manchester, we are fortunate that Bolton Council is continuing to maintain this facility, hopefully the repair works will not be too long, and the library returned to normal, I believe that the Egyptian displays will be improved!
