I have been using Daves since the 1980's for various pet supplies. Always have been the best regarding the amount and variety of stock to ensure you find what you need. Very fair prices and the staff are excellent with their help and advice. Highly recommended.
The shop stinks and is grubby and clearly needs a good scrub. The pet food section does not entice me what so ever as the shop is always empty. Makes me wonder how long it’s been sat there. My husband did but from the fishing section regular however the lady has short changed him a few times and when he went back she said… “well you have to try!” Wow cannot believe she would do that to anyone.. let alone a regular customer. Needs shutting down I feel sorry for the animals.
Sooo much stuff in there. Everything you could want and wish for ,for fish including the fish! Can't take it all in in one visit. Fish are expensive to me but maybe not to others. Great parking. Worth a visit.
Great place, aquatics staff very knowledgeable. If you want a shiny immaculate brand new shop it's probably not for you but If you want healthy fish and the largest aquatic accessory selection I've ever seen then it's great.
I bought 2 black angel fish at a cost of £36, 2 days lster they were dead i phoned up to complain and was told that they have a 24 hour policy, aslong as they didnt die within 24 hours no matter how much the fish cost they refused to have any liability. Now some of the fish at this store are well into the £100's. My recommendation is give it a very wide berth!!!.

The reptiles all had tonnes of space,clearly looked after really well.Great selection of reptile equipment,tonnes of vivariums for all animals
Vast selection of stock covering many types of pets and their food and welfare: Salt water/Fresh water/Tropical fish, Reptiles, Bird fancier supplies etc and a huge section for fisherman of all types Rods,Poles........ Prices seem to have crept up over the last couple of years compared to places like 'Pets at Home' but due to their vast and varied inventory and stocking uncommon and 'niche' parts and equipment they are worth a visit if only for a look around!
A large aquarium and pet shop, but very neglected. It has been getting worse every year in recent years. It's a shame because it used to be a really nice shop.
Good supply of different kinds of fish, reptiles, birds and animals together with own kind of accessories. The prices are reasonable. Staff very knowlegable and helpful. The place has a cafe and children play area.
