Not as good as it used to be

As a nightclub, it's dark, cramped, wet and sticky inside. The entry is free, but that's about all it has going for it. The music is also far too loud - there is a huge PA system in such a small space. Since the density of people is so high people always have to stand next to the loudspeakers, at a level so loud, ear defenders can't stop the level being painful.
