This is an excellent practice. You can always get through on the phone, can request prescriptions by phone or online, can always speak to a doctor or nurse if concerned, and sick children will be seen the same day- there is a notice saying so. There is a Walk In Centre next door for really urgent problems. We have always been treated with respect, care and kindness by all staff from reception to healthcare assistants and nurses to doctors. Thank you to all staff.

I been suffering from cough and sore throat from four weeks. Attempted every over counter medication I can without any improvements in symptoms. Tyrozets Lozenges * two packs + Lempship * 3 packs + Jackman’s Throat and Chest Sweets 100g + Many combination of Strepsils lozenges + Alcohol for medical purpose e.g. whiskey Medication above contains high amount of sugar as there are not many sugar free versions available over counter which is further more risk to my health because I am type 2 diabetic. 1st attempt to book GP appointment made Monday 27th Nov 2017 1.09pm – Line is busy 2nd attempt: Tuesday 28th Dec (3rd week of my symptoms) 9.17 am – Line is busy + 9.20 am - Line is busy + 9.31 am – Line is busy + 9.41 am - Finally I get connected to reception + appointment made Friday 1st Dec 2.50pm Is this the earliest available appointment? YES I discovered at work I will be in meeting and can’t make above appointment. Attempt made to rearrange appointment: 1st Dec 2017 8.00am – Line is busy + 8.03am – Line gets connected I been offered next appointment is Wednesday 9.10am – However this is my working hours I can’t make it due to travel distance between work & GP. The conversation I had with receptionist was particular disappointing one, I asked is it possible to get same day appointment? Receptionist answered “you have to ring 8 o’clock” – it can be seen from above I already made attempt to get in touch at 8am without success. However its patient who have to suffer that there is no call waiting service on GP practice to serve callers in queue manner. I will be visiting Walk-in centre for medical help regarding my cough and sore throat and again wait is expected 3-4 hours even if I ring 5.19 pm. (call made 25th Nov 2017) Furthermore I recently received letter for public consultation regarding GP practice not having enough patients to keep it running. Does it really need more patient or infect it needs more staff to provide good level of service to registered patients. When service first opened I did received first class service - reception use to be one for walk-in and GP approx. 2010 – 2011 time but this days it’s unacceptable. PS: Call time and date has been tracked by mobile phone call history

This GP gets worse and worse . You try and book an appointment and you’re told you can only ring on the day. Rang at 8 engaged until 805 and all appointments are taken ?! Twice that’s happened this week when we have a 3 month old son ill at home.
