Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and are fantastic with children. The hall itself is kept very well and laid out as it would have been back then, with some exhibits kept in immaculate glass housing. There is also a café and shop which are fairly well priced and you are able to bring your own food and sit in the gardens when the weather is good. Also highly recommend getting some of the lavender goods which is grown on site.

I've lost count of the number of times that I've intended to visit here, and never did. No excuses this time as I'd booked for one of the half hour dramatisations from Samuel Pepys Diary, as part of a Great Fire of London week. Sadly, it was geared to the predominantly Mother and young kids audience. Fortunately, the Hall itself is definitely worth a look around. I'll be returning later in the year, when the kids are back at school and the weather somewhat warmer. And there's a reasonably priced cafe in which to enjoy a coffee (a cafetiere no less) and cake.

Great house, well worth a visit. We purchased tickets to see a dramatized story about the Great Fire of London. My 6 year old grandson had recently studied it at school and enjoyed the short family-friendly interactive play.

Lovely ....nice coffee shop selling cakes, sandwiches, ice cream, room outside to picnic....car park can get busy...but I'm sure they have a field to park when events are on..really nicely decorated inside....true to a 17th century house...it's not over done really recommend

I came today because I looked online for something fun to do with the kids. This sounded ok so we went there and the activity’s were behond rubbish! I wouldn’t waste your time. I travelled some way and when we got there all there was to so is stick some coloured translucent sheets to a template. We stayed for 2 mins didn’t even make anything. Went and looked around the building but wasn’t allowed in. So I went to the desk and said my kids are very disappointed with the activity’s may we have a refund so I can take them to the wacky or somewhere else that was fun. They wouldn’t give me one looking at me like I was filth. Very unhappy children . Wasted the whole day and felt rubbish .
