‏Beautiful place to explore and enjoy next to very big play area for children. Some nice walk up to the castle. I really like the pathways beside the river! There is a nice cafe, good to have some snacks after a walk. Really recommend!!Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Beautiful place to have a proper walk with your kids. There are several tracks so you'll easily find your way up. There are fantastic views from the top and kids will enjoy the journey. Castle only opens the third Sunday of each month. Bring water and snacks as there is no shops up there.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Absolutely brilliant. Great walk through the wooded area to find some caves. Kids absolutely loved the play areas, we had kids from 4 to 15 and there was areas that kept all ages playing. Will definitely be back.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
What a great park! Loved it! Huge play park for young and older children, toilets, café, and lots of walking trails. Paid parking. The museum and castle open 1 April so we didn't get to go in but hope to soon.
I don't think you will be disappointed with a visit here as it is just a beautiful place. It was free parking when I first visited months ago which was great although I'm updating this now as visited a few weeks back and the parking meters are up and running again couple of £ for a couple of hours huge fields for dogs to run on - they loved it too! and just a short walk from the car park there is a lovely little cafe serving food and drinks with indoor and outdoor seating. There are toilets which are also not far from the cafe. The grounds are really beautiful, I managed to walk around most of it, following the path takes you into a more wooded area which is pretty and shaded in the sunny weather. You will also come across the castle which looks like something out of a fairytale. This is definitely one of my go to happy places. The coffee is also delicious! The only thing I regret is not trying a bacon bap
We usually come here for walks and dog walking. The nature is beautiful and peaceful. Sometimes we come to this park on Sundays for a picnic and to have dinner, tea or coffee. But one night with friends we were there until late night and we saw the moon coming out. A beautiful and relaxing scene.
Brilliant place for everything really, some nice walks up to the castle or down the windy path to the river. Dog walking is endless fun, take my pooch up here and he always comes back tired. Car parking is open from early morning, the time changes due to what time of year it is. There is a cafe, toilets, huge park, gardens run by volunteers and a museum. Also don’t miss checking out Blaise Hamlet just down the road. Quaint little house
Fantastic place to explore. A firm favourite with my 6 year old. Great all year round but beautiful in the summer monthsVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Lovely place for a walk and to see a castle for free. Has a great play area younger and older kids and huge field to play sports on, run around or just have a picnic. The parking is free and the car park was full as we left, so make sure you get there early.
Lovely park to walk around - cute castle and fun to see the sets that BBC is filming old medieval? stuff at! Mill was covered so the views of it weren’t as impressive.
