Called In on a bank holiday. Really busy. Had carvery. Son had steak. Was told waiting time in kitchen was 45 minutes. Quick service from kitchen. Waited probably less than 10. Lovely food and staff. Would recommend.

Nice beef burger with chips, big portion and better than i expected. Fizzy drinks seemed a little on the expensive side. My partner chose a toffee cake for dessert which he said was very dry. I really enjoyed the ice cream, again bigger portion than i could eat tho!

Great roomy pub. Very family friendly. Good location and plenty of parking. Nice selection of beers. Birchwood Farm is an ideal place to pop for great pub grub. It has an expansive menu, loads of choice and options. The carvery is a very popular choice.

The positives were that we got a seat straight away on a busy bank holiday after our initial choice let us down. Most of our party enjoyed their food but mine was very disappointing. I'm not usually sensitive to greasy food but after eating a veggie burger that must have been deep fried and onion rings or was so oily I felt like I'd drunk a glass of chip fat. Overall it was ok, 3/4 of us had good food and mine was tasty just way too greasy. An adequate substitute when pizza express is full.

Came for Sunday Dinner . Veg poor it was under cooked, mash is out of this world and should be sent back. Refilling the mash with a dish by hand wasn't nice to see. Serving spoons all clogged up with old food, need changing from time to time. We found that the veg area was a mess, and put me off eating my dinner. Will not be back sorry. Felt like we was on a asembly line. No one looked bothered.
