My mum was a resident here for the last 7 months. In that time she was able to enjoy going out with the staff around the local area including a trip to the garden centre, which she would have loved, cream teas, pizza making, bingo.... just doing normal things on a regular basis. It made me so happy to see her involved in activities both inside and outside of the home.nThankyou so much to the staff for their care and ensuring my mum had a happy quality of life before her sudden passing. Forever grateful to you all nSpecial thanks to Jennie manager for all your support.
The actual carers here are nice people but the management leave a lot to be desired.nThe meals were served to my mother on her knee , no dining tables . Cheap plastic plates and cups with sticky cutlery was the norm as was cheap food . Chairs ,that most of the time had no seat cushion on them so the residents sat on the base! Not the best , I would avoid.
I have nothing but the highest respect for this outstanding Care home. The love care and kindness to both residents and families is just amazing. Sadly my brother Richard passed away on Tuesday, the staff were as upset as we were, I can't praise everyone at Birch tree for all the love and tenderness they showed him. Also they treat all the residents the same it is way beyond Outstanding and amazing.
My gran has been here 3 times for respite and I cannot fault this care home atall. They have looked after her amazingly all 3 times. Always made sure she was comfortable, clean, warm and fed. Even when my gran was poorly with a water infection, they sorted it all out and got her the treatment she needed. I am so happy and I would highly recommend this care home if anyone is thinking about using it. This was the home in port sunlight.nThank you to each and every carer who cared for my gran. Keep up your good work :D
Our mother passed away after nearly 9 months end of life care at Birch Tree Manor Care Home. The staff who looked after her were kind, caring and attentive and we are most grateful she spent her final months in a care home with such excellent staff.
