We had a lovely meal here with friends. The service was absolutely exceptional. We went for one of the tasting menus with a few bottles of recommended wine. The photos speak for themselves. Fantastically presented and treated delicious all in the setting of a previous Michelin headquarters. We have been to many similar restaurants over the years, and the attention to detail and quality of the service was second to none. We shall definitely be going back. Highly recommended!
My boyfriend surprised me with a dinner at Claude Bosi at Bibendum for my birthday last night. The staff knew it was a special occasion and had prepared a card that was given to me as we sat down. The service was exceptional and all the staff were just so professional and attentive. It's very rare to find this level of service even amongst similar restaurants in London. We had the classic tasting menu with different wines as recommended by the very knowledgeable sommelier. Each dish came beautifully presented and was full of flavours and cooked to perfection. My personal highlight was the chocolate souffle that came with Madagascan vanilla ice cream - it was unbelievably good. Thank you to the entire team for making this such a lovely evening. We had a great time and would recommend this without hesitation to anyone looking for a special night out. We will definitely be back.
First of all, the attention to details by the staff was amazing! Food was incredible and well prepared with an eye for how it was presented. The whole visit to the restaurant was an amazing experience for us, from start to finish. We want to send an extra gratitude to the sommelier and the waiters for being really nice to us!
Extraordinary service, great food, amazing attention to details and beautiful building. Best decision for the new year lunch. We had Classics menu for 195 pounds. This may sound pricey but to be honest this is the price for Michelin restaurants in London and with this one you will not be disappointed.
Had a lovely lunch at the Oyster Bar in the semi-outdoor space, and it is a fantastic place to spend an afternoon. We had the seafood platter, and it was superb. The mussels, oysters, and crab were all top notch, and that was only half of it. We also had the fish soup, which was excellent. This place is an institution, and it’s nice to see it ageing so well.
Amazing service and atmosphere. Great to see Claude Bosi in the kitchen checking every dish was perfect before it came out. One of us was vegetarian and found the Vegetarian tasting menu to be fantastic. Could not fault our meal, wine pairing and experience.Recommended dishesBibendum Double Chocolate Soufflé
Had lunch at the Oyster bar recently. The restaurant is nice with a good menu. All the food was good, although a couple of the starters were disappointing. The steak tartare was under seasoned and it was a little odd having a whole egg in it rather than just the yolk as you usually get. The prawn cocktail was also under seasoned and the prawns had been halved to make it look like there were more of them than there were 6 halves so 3 prawns. Main courses were all excellent. Would definitely return
What an amazing place! The building, dining room and atmosphere really are superb - faultless! The waiters and all of the serving staff are some of the nicest, friendliest and best out there and made it an amazing lunch. The food was good but, for me, lacked the wow factor in terms of taste. Presentation and variety were amazing, but few really jumped out as "wow" dishes. For me, the two best were the amuse bouche ice cream in brioche foam this was a genuinely 20/20 dish, and the chocolate souffle again, 20/20 and something I'll never forget. A great lunch, in a great building with superb staff and atmosphere.
I don’t like to give one star reviews, but on top of a disappointing meal, my fiancé and I both ended the evening with a bad case of food poisoning. The service was pretty good, but no one questioned why we didn’t finish our dishes, which I find neglectful, as we didn’t eat a lot of our food due to fishy taste, temperature issues, etc. The drinks were great, I had the lavender cooler and my fiancé had the white Negroni. The food though was bizarre. There was no fish in the fish stew, which was a surprise. The shrimp cocktail was a few small rubbery prawns, cut in half and covered in unpleasant mayonnaise, more akin to a salad, and overall not what we expected. We held out hope for the main course, but were met with more meh. The cod was cooked perfectly, but came out cold, and lacked flavor without the leeks beneath. The temperature bit was frustrating because we waited so long for it to come out. Finally, the crab linguine was very fishy and we stomached a few bites and decided it was best not to eat it. Idk if this place was having an off night or what, but I won’t be coming back to find out.
An infinitely extravagant experience. It was a unique, luxurious and unforgettable meal. The atmosphere was serene yet precise, the service team were exceptionally polite and knowledgeable with regards to the entire menu. The sommelier was brilliant especially given our inexperience with wines. The food was, without exaggerating, incredible. Every single dish was one we'll remember forever.
