Very unreliable customer service. I walked an hour in the pouring rain only to find the store closed. That’s not what the online postings say. If you cannot trust them to be open when they say where’s the quality of the BFI experience. Waste of my time. I was only in London for a few days.
Hospitality is incredible. The chap behind the desk was endearing.
I came across the city traveling on holiday from the USA, and shop closed early at 4 pm randomly? Other folks working didn’t seem to care to help out. I would just order from online if anything.
Never order anything again at this shop. Pre ordered Ghost Stories for Christmas 2 months ago. Release was a month ago Still not dispatched. They don't answer to emails or phone anymore. A harrowing shopping experience.
I pre ordered the Re release of "Dance Craze" back in August of of last year. Now that it has been released they have yet to ship it or provide any information to me as to when it might ship. I have emailed them several times with no reply and called them multiple times and got no answer and no answering machine to leave a message.. It is my hope that maybe this negative review might get them to reply to me and let me know when I might expect it or when to expect a refund.
Just shocking service. Very dissapointed as I have held the bfi in very high esteem before making this order. First of all one of the items ordered was delayed which is understandable mistakes happen but another item from the order was completely missed off and was never delivered. I have emailed them multiple times trying to get the item I ordered delivered all to no reply. I have tried calling them on multiple occasions at diffrent times and they have not picked up. I have waited months just to see if they were back logged. Nothing. My hope is this reveiw will force them to take notice and for my order to be completed. Just disgusted with such terrible service. My advice is to use another service.
I absolutely love visiting the BFI shop. It's one of my favourite things about visiting London and I always pop in there before getting the train home. I have bought so many wonderful DVDs and books there, and the staff are always so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I can't wait for it to reopen so I can go back there. I have, however, purchased items from the online shop during lockdown, which also has a wonderful selection. My favourite place to buy DVDs as I know that I am also supporting the work of the BFI, which is a registered charity.
Part of the British Film Institute, selling DVDs and Blu Rays, as well as books and other related merchandise. Located on the Southbank, directly below the southern approach to Waterloo Bridge.
Great place. Very addictive and you can spend hours in here. In the summer on the south bank it's great to meet up with some friends and enjoy all the various festivals going on near this attraction also. Great place.
Placed an order at the start of May but has yet to be delivered 2 months later. There may be a COVID pandemic on but 40 working days far exceeds the 'sent out in 5 working days' message from the website. No response recieved to multiple emails sent to the BFI Shop email, the BFI Shop managers email or the BFI Customer Services email Delivery receipts were received. Likewise no one ever answers the BFI Shop phone. If the number is not in use, how about leaving an automated message or not instructing people to call it! Exceptionally poor service.
