Nice location, it's not too far out of the way but nicely isolated anyway. There's a spar and shell garage nearby in case supplies are needed. Room was ok. Lots of noise throughout the night - sounds like some sort of pump - so if you can avoid room 12 please do. Good shower, nice height, but angled ceiling means that the curtain isn't 100% effective. Restaurant very good. Most of the nights I got a taster slice of bread that was served warm - lovely touch. Prices not too bad either. Would stay again.

A superb restaurant and hotel that continually offer fantastic service and great food. With 40+ hotel rooms available, a superb garden room for all celebratory occasions, an in house fine dining restaurant 'The Comfy Duck' and another larger function room available to hire - you will find more than sufficient options for weddings, christenings, birthdays and corporate entertainment. The staff are attentive, nothing is too much trouble and the service exceptional. If you haven't tried the Oaklands - I suggest you do!

Very disappointed. This was a birthday treat break. The room was unclean there were unmentionable marks on the bed throw, which I highlighted and took to reception, lots of dust under radiator and on top. Breakfast was very slow our teas and coffees arrived eventually by the time we had eaten. Evening meal fillet steaks were cold mine went back twice to the point where I didn't eat, and again on the 2nd night. Food waa sent back as wasn't right actually cold another table also did the same. ( cold food ) Such a shame as after being so poorly needed a break. Being relatively local had heard the restaurant was still up to the same level as was before Head chef had left. But sadly not We had hoped to make a regular thing of The Comfy Duck restaurant even friends we net up with won't return. Such a shame

Very pleasant place to visit.. Food good... I've not slept over...only eatern..can recommend food ... service very friendly & helpful.

The executive room was a very good size with a well appointed bathroom, with a huge Corner bath over. The room was very nicely decorated. However the bed, 2 singles pushed together, with a topper to make it a queen, was THE most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept in!!
