didn't even put fresh garlic on the naan bread, i wasn't allowed to order just a few naan breads so i had to buy a curry so got a prawn korma, the sauce was good but ive never seen smaller prawns with were about 1cm large, and the naan were awful and burnt. won't be returning when basmati down the road is so much better.
Avoid. If I could have rated zero stars I would have. We ordered at 7.30 and we were told that it would be delivered at 8.55. At 9.10 we chased and we were told that it would arrive 9.15. We chased again at 9.20 and we were told that it would be at least half an hour more. We asked if we could cancel as it had been 2 hours since we ordered and we were informed that if we cancel we only get 50% refund. The person on the phone was very rude throughout, we will not be returning and suggest no one else bothers! If you do not have capacity for orders do not accept them, simple.
The food was okay, however the place has a weird smell and on top of that Owner being rude did not help. We used taste card and make sure he know from the start that we will be using it. When he gave the bill we offered to pay by card. We were given taste card discount The guy got really mad about it and said he could have refused to serve and he gave us discount and we should pay cash. We did not had cash on us cause everyone accept card. However he was very weird and rude about us paying card and not cash.
1st time I've been here tonight went with a friend the food was nice.. Apart from when the curry Arrived I thought it would be put on heated things to keep it hot. But no it was just put on the table.. The service wasn't that good the dishes came on after another no break between dishes. And the service wasn't good either regarding the waiter. I didn't even put the money on the bill and he was hanging around for it. So Rude I thought
This is my local Indian that i have been currently going to for just over 2 Years!! Myself and my partner have sat in to eat and we have also had deliverys to our door. I can not fault anyone who works here, the chefs to the waiters to the delivery workers they are all great at what they do and always have a smile on there face and make us feel so welcome when we sit in!!! There food is great quality and there chicken just melts in your mouth it is amazing!! if anyone is looking for a new indian to either sit in or deliver i highly recommend Bengal Brasserie. 5 stars from us!!
We waited over 2 hours for our food this is from the estimated delivery time it was 3 hours after we placed our order. We called after it and was told that it was on its way and it would be 15 minutes. After 25 minutes we called again to be told that it would be another 15 minutes as it still hadn't left yet so they lied to us on the phone. We then complained and said we were not willing to pay the amount for the food, they then offered us free food instead. When the food arrived, the driver had no change which isn't a big deal but after waiting for so long we expected better service. And then to top it all off when we started eating our VEGETARIAN meal for VEGETARIANS we found chicken in our food. I am beyond disappointed in not only the food which was greasy and cold when it arrived; but I am also very angry with the terrible service and delivery time. It would completely unprofessional and the way we were spoken to on the phone was disgusting. I would not go here again and urge people not to either, even if they do like the food, because every other aspect of this restaurant is appalling and well below any passable standard of hospitality.
We've just started to use the Bengal Brasserie after our local Alam Spice in Fawley food has gone downhill. Fourth visit and the food has been superb! The best curry we've eaten in a very, very long time. Garlic chilli chicken, lamb vindaloo, hot, spicy full of flavour and depth. Not full of sugar and salt like Alam Spice. Spices cooked out well too. Lamb Pathia is delicious. Lamb very tender and chicken was also cooked perfectly, moist and delicious and not like a piece of rubber. I cannot praise them enough. Garlic rice cooked nicely. The only issue was the onion Bahjii's that were crispy on there outside but soggy in the middle. Still give them 5/5 though because everything else was spot-on.
Are here once a few months back and have ordered a take away multiple times. Food is good with a lot of options! Fast service, especially when ordering on a weekend. Value for money!!
Absolutely loved the food, servers were very polite and friendly, food came out in a reasonable time.. They accept taste card as well which is always good. Great place, highly recommended.
Needed late night post-gig curry and google searched. Bengal Brasserie in the heart of late night Southampton food district. Got there midnight and warmly welcomed. Curry was top notch, well priced and delicious. My Chicken saag madras was one of the best - it’s what I order everywhere so I can compare! Lovely breads and the tarka dhall a knock out. Not one next day rumbles either. Check it out!
