I use this car park when going to the theatre. In July 2022 it was around £3.80 I think to park for three hours. I used the car park today and was charged £7.80 for three hours. How can NCP justify such an increase. Its a shame as it is a well lit car park with lots of spaces. However there are queues when the theatre show ends, and often only one out of the three lift works. And only one out of the two exit barriers work. Next time I will park somewhere else
Usually lots of spaces available in this car park. It’s much better now that the building work around is finished. After parking today, I’ve realised that the prices have gone up. It’s tricky to get in the car park to leave, but once you understand to use your ticket and swipe it, you’ll be able to get in.
Absolutely shambolic. £9.90 for parking from 6pm-10:30 would be awful in just about any city in this country, let alone for an atrociously managed and designed car park that caused a large queue for the payment machines after a show at the nearby theatre finished, then a further queue to actually get out of the car park once we managed to get back to our car. All told, it took longer to leave the damned car park than our journey to Coventry and back combined. There are more than enough options nearby and I will never be back.
Poorly maintained and machines often broken. This car park used to be great but over the years has slowly become a disgrace. The toilets haven't been open for years despite them being perfectly fine. The barriers are constantly breaking causing massive queues to get in and out. The card payment machines sometimes stop working so you have to pay at the barrier but the barriers rarely work properly causing people to spend 30mins on hold to the support centre because the onsite staff are always hiding somewhere. They recently stopped doing weekly tickets meaning that if you are only here for a week you either have to pay large amounts each day or buy a monthly pass. They are trying to force you into using the app which can be very unreliable and is another reason there can be queues to leave. I have in the past sat queuing to leave the car park for over an hour. The electric charging points don't work. The vending machine rarely works. The disabled spots aren't monitored so are always full of non blue badge holders. They had an issue with homeless and kids messing around so have fitted a pass door which is also usually broken. All these issues and they have the nerve to raise the tickets prices by a large amount. The yearly pass has increased by over £160 for a car park that has less features and less maintenance each year.
Absolutely rubbish car park. After leaving a show at The Belgrade it took almost 35 minutes to leave as both barriers weren't working and the contactless reader on the exit machine didn't work either. The assistant on the helpline was not helpful and didn't try to assist. Then tried to charge me £12 for a £5.80 ticker so I could leave. Same thing happened to a family member the other month so obviously a recurring issue.
Not recommending. 2nd time l have problems to leave car park on motorcycle, they asked me to pay. On website and on car park signs says motorcycles park for free.
Post theatre the car park barriers were broken. A theatre full of cars trapped. No help available. No answer on customer service help desk. And for £10 for 5 hours of parking. Waiting over an hour to get out. Unacceptable to charge this much and provide no assistance. Disgusting.
Wouldn't recommend, scuffed alloys getting in and out due to how tight the entance/exit is. What should have been £5.85 to park has turned into hundreds maybe thousands to replace our alloys
I BROUGHT A PRE-BOOKED PAYMENT CAR PARKING SPACE. I WAS 5 MINS LATER COMING BACK TO THE CAR PARK AND WAS CHARGED JUST UNDER £10 MORE FOR THOSE 5 MINUTES. TOT RIP OFF. A COMPLAINT WILL BE F GOING IN.
Barrier wouldn’t work. No tickets. Called for assistance 10 mins later couldn’t reverse eventually an answer. Reset the machine. Still no tickets so obviously didn’t work. V expensive now too. Avoid!
