Salt Lane car park is a large multi-storey car park right on the edge of Coventry city centre, only a few minutes’ walk from the shops, cathedral and transport links. It’s generally easy to find and stays open 24 hours, which makes it useful for both daytime shopping trips and evening events. Spaces are fairly plentiful and wider than some older city car parks, although the ramps are tight in places and can feel narrow for bigger vehicles. Lighting and CCTV make it feel reasonably safe, but at busy times it can take a while to enter or exit and payment machines sometimes have queues. Overall it’s a convenient, central option if you don’t mind a typical multi-storey layout and a short walk into town.nWe also had a discount for using a local facility.

I got there early, entrance is a little tight in a bigger car if you go through the left hand one, plenty of spaces, cheap to park ANPR makes it easy to use no cash option on payment though

There should be a sign outside to let mothers know with young children and pushchairs there is no lifts working. A sign  outside the building before entering the car park. Today had to go to the 11th floor to park my car so I could go to the spa and I had to allow myself time to get back up there with bad knees. Not suitable for  everyone. I have no idea why there is so many disabled parking spaces on the ground floor and electric car points  now wondering if it’s worth using this car park.

Very central location. Car park had many open spots on Sunday late morning but by midday was quite full. Ramps are large, and stairwells feel quite open. Payment is via license plate no tickets, so enter your plate and pay before returning to your car.

My experience was dreadful and complained to the council office. I am disabled and there were no spaces but ok as the lift were there  had to go to 7 floor ok l thought got lift. Guess what not working how l managed to get down with my husband l will never no .on way back l stayed down and husband moved the car. Will not be going into city for long time to come . This was a bad experience. Never again about time the sorted this car park out can't say if they have as l want be going into city centre again.
