Beautiful. Staying here for a week with my husband and 10month old baby. We packed everything for her, but did not need to! They kindly catered for her needs, highchair, bath chair, travel cot, toys! Brilliant! She loved the onsite swings and chickens! Marvelled at the birds swooping, sheep and guinea pigs. We loved the views and the calmness. We love west country and would highly recommend beeson farm to everyone, especially families.

We (group of 4) had a lovely time at Beeson Farm over the New Year. We stayed in a 3 bed cottage which felt really homely and had everything we could have needed. I would definitely recommend it and hope to return there at some point in the coming year.

I have holidayed many times in the West Country but it was only in July, 2015 that I was introduced to the South Hams area lying to the South and East of Dartmoor embracing amongst others, the towns of Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Ivybridge and Salcombe. In the extreme South East is the delightful seaside (too small to be called ‘resort’) Beesands and just inland from there, Beeson Farm Cottages, the focal point of this missive. So impressed I was, that a second visit ended only yesterday! It was to this area that seventeen years ago, Veronica and Robin Cross decided to remove themselves from the ‘Rat Race’ and embark on a major project of establishing a small holiday cottage complex by renovating and developing a collection of old farm buildings and out-houses. The result has been spectacularly successful; winning a number of well-deserved awards, there are five comfortable and fully equipped cottages set in a quiet location surrounded by the beautiful Devonian rolling countryside. The area is ideal for walkers, birders, surfers, explorers and sailors and if you enjoy sea-food, you’ll think that you’ve gone to Heaven! You only have to walk the short distance into Beesands to find the excellent ‘Cricket Inn’ and adjacent eateries offering day boat goodies plus, in the environs, more good restaurants than you can shake a mackerel at. Don’t forget to bring your National Trust card too as there are many properties within striking distance that are well worth a visit. There are also plenty of things on-site to interest the children such as a child safe wildlife area, fenced pond, orchard and a play area. Home grown veg in season is often available too. If you need a helping hand in deciding how to spend your day, Veronica and Robin are a mine of useful information and will happily suggest places and things for you to see and do. If you are looking for wild nightlife and dancing ‘til dawn – forget it but if you are after a few days or longer to rest and recuperate in comfort, or to explore all that this part of the Country has to offer, I thoroughly recommend Beeson Farm Cottages; I’m positive that you won’t be disappointed.

Our family has been here many times over the years, the wife and I even had our honeymoon here. Set next to the wonderful picturesque hamlet of Beeson in a glorious country setting this place is perfect for short breaks for some R&R. The cottages (most are pet friendly) themselves are lovingly converted barns and are very attractive and well appointed. The ancient fishing village of Beesands and The Cricket Inn is 1/2 mile walk away. The beach is beautiful and never crowded. Owners Robin & Veronica will be happy to point out which of the other local pubs and restaurants are the best to try. For those who do want to venture a bit further afield Salcombe, Torcross, Dartmouth, Plymouth, Exeter & Dartmoor are all in close proximity. This part of Devon is filled with 'green lanes', perfect for walkers. Cant reccomend it highly enough!
