The location was fantastic, we booked a private room which had an amazing view from the balcony. Staff were also very friendly. The bad thing was the noise. I know it's a hostel and they do leave you ear plugs, so I expected some noise. For example, people in the rooms around us were up late and early morning talking, which I could deal with. But all the floors were wooden, so it sounded like people were tap dancing in boots the whole night and it was impossible to sleep through, even with ear plugs. I think they need to lay down some carpet, so you can't hear every footstep. Don't stay here if you really need your sleep!

Second time check in here and decided to stay for 5 days. Since the changed of new management, we cannot cook from the shared kitchen. Unfortunately, the guest coming in this time were non civilised. Making noise at night and talking nonstop. Walls in between rooms are non sound proof.  In overall we still love Iseltwald area due to the quite and calming environment. 20mins bus ride from Interlaken. Bus arriving on time.

Exactly what we needed. Comfortable, clean and excellent view for a great price. Maybe a bit loud and not the most serviced.Rooms: 4/5

It was a great hostel in an excellent location.  Off the normal beaten path but not so isolated that there were no facilities to support restaurants and convenience grocery shops. The lodge itself was quaint with good facilities to prepare food at. The guest fridge was large enough to store a day or two of food. The main complaint is that the BBQ facilities are a couple of open fire pits out back but with the fire restrictions, not such a good idea to use. No other cooking facilities to warm food beside microwave since the guest kitchen is closed maybe they reopen it someday. Also there are no fans for the rooms on the hot days in summer.

Everything was great; however, the sound insulation is horrendous. I can hear everything from my neighbor talking, snoring, etc. But it is nice that the hostel provides earplugs!

Very nice place. Beatifull view of the lake and very quiet place at night. Needs more microwaves and a stow to cook food.Rooms: 5/5

Lake lodge is an amazing hostel in Isetwald near lake Brienz… situated right at the banks of the lake the lodge offers rooms with amazing views The owners are very friendly people and u get a free tour of the amenities… they have a common dining area where u can store or heat your food… the kitchen is clean and tidy… The rooms are well maintained with heater in room.. there is also a restaurant right opposite the lodge… there are only shared bathrooms in the hostel but they r very clean and hygienic.. only drawback is it would be better if toiletries and towels are provided… They even have water sports lik stand up paddling and kayaking and cycling available for rent at low prices… The stay was very very pleasant and I look forward to visiting again

Excellent food and friendly service at Restaurant Seegarten! We ordered their super good burger mouthwatering and big, chicken salad exceptionally good and big, quiche and pizza wholesome and freshly made. Well done, guys! Although the team at Lakelodge looked young but they were professional, genuine, friendly and most helpful!

All the stars are regarding the price. It was our very first stay in a hostel which was really nice. The management who is a nice young lady was a smiling and a really passionate person about her job and that made us having a smoth check in and experience there. Free parking,nice kitchen,and perfect location were the best points. Thanks
