This site was one of our favourite places to camp out at. Beautiful setting, lovely little pitches right next to the river and friendly, welcoming staff. Absolutely gutted to hear about the changes being made. A very sad loss to those of us wanting a few days break getting back to nature without all the mod cons. Very disappointing ☹

Lovely setting and super walks from site, the best being the walk down to Beddgelert. Would have given 5* but cold shower put me off (on a cold wet day) Can get on train directly from the site to Portmadog or Caernafon. If visiting during Summertime midges drive you nuts. We got a mains plug in midge killer from Wilco in Porthmadog which worked a treat. If you 'like' this review please give me a tick √

This is a beautiful tranquil site We have spent many holidays here and always had the most marvellous time. It is a very friendly site with marvellous staff and usually very nice children for the lads to play with. Close to lovely little villages, mountains and steam train. Lovely and clean and staff cannot do enough for you. I am so sad that it is all going to change. Thank you for all the wonderful times we have had

I'm sure this campsite was really good, but is in the transitional phase of being taken over so things are not as they should be. By the end of October it will close for reconstruction. So cannot say what the new look will be. The nature here is wonderful. Good place to walk with a camera.

Was a nice camp site, but it is being developed for cabins and mobile homes Only. There is word that a few tourers will be allowed, but the site has already been removed from the Camping in the Forest website. I have gone to this site for more than 55 years and have very fond memories, from the days when Adam Easton ran it, as manager for the Forestry Commission, to the Camping and Caravanning club. In all the years, the only moan was the famous midges, who flew in squadrons and made you de-midge your unit before bed.
