I was just passing through Petersfield and stopped for some lunch in Beatons with my girlfriend and her mother. We had a lovely experience and couldn't recommend it highly enough. The staff were all very friendly and the food was great. We loved the concept of being able to purchase from the selection of interesting and unique books whilst also enjoying our lunch. It looked like they also arrange some book signings from time to time with the authors themselves which I thought was a great idea. A great spot that we all agreed we would certainly go back to :)

This has got to be the worst tearoom I have ever visited! The service was painfully slow, excruciating almost! We only wanted tea and cake! The cake portions were small. One was even too small to share with someone else! For over £13.00, it is literally daylight robbery! Thankfully the company I had was brilliant! This place is to be avoided, seriously.

Fantastic service and a huge selection of teas. They also had a gluten free cake option, which was amazing.

The staff were very friendly, straight away a baby seat was offered, very clean. Menu varied and the lamb & lentil stew special was delicious, will definitely visit again.
