We met Julie via a mutual friend. The bespoke services she offers are second to none. Julie has an absolute knack for understanding what clients need and and what works best in their home. We had 6 blinds of the best quality and an amazing, enormous window seat which we love. We have had fabulous comments from visitors and we can't thank Julie and all those involved with Bear Cottage Interiors enough. We look forward to working with Julie when choosing our next set of blinds.
Bear Cottage in Hawes is an absolute must visit. From small lovely home decor items to in house design of blinds and furnishings- it’s a beautifully presented shop and Julie is always so helpful and accommodating. Love love this shop x
Julie is a lovely person/owner and a very talented interior designer. She designed our lounge and did an amazing job. Can’t praise her enough. Bear cottage in Hawes is a delightful shop full of wonderful and different things for the house. We always call in when visiting Hawes.

Great shop; beautiful things in the shop and friendly staff.
Have visited twice and on both occasions found the service lacking. To rejuvenate local high streets against online shopping, visiting stores need to provide a friendly and helpful buying experience, sadly we did not find any of this. On the 1st visit a few months ago we thought we would let it slide but having gone to the effort to visit again recently when looking for fabric to recover a chair, we were rather tersely told photos were not allowed. There was no offer of how they could help us compare the fabric to the chair at home, such as to allow us to take a sample book, or inquiry on what the project was we were considering, just a further terse response on comparing prices online. Frankly if this is the level of service I'm not surprised that people are going online.
