Excellent little shop with lots of choice. Great assortment of fresh veg and fruit. Good deli counter. Very friendly staff. Pleasantly surprised at the variety and quality of food. Highly recommended. Visited whilst staying at the Caravan and Motorhome Club Site.
Ignorant staff including owner. We waited at the deli counter for the old woman serving who stood chatting to someone in front of us who she had finished serving. After being ignored for several minutes we angrily decided to pay for the rest of our shopping at the main checkout. When we asked the chap at the till if he was the manager he said he was the owner. We proceeded to explain about being ignored at the deli counter to which he replied if you dont want to wait thats up to you. He said that she was his sister in law and that she works for over 100 hours a week and he wasnt prepared to say anything to her. He was very abrupt and didnt even offer an apology. We will never use this shop again. It is way overpriced obviously cashing in on all the visitors to the area. Greedy owner needs to learn some customer service for himself and staff.
Decent little shop with a good variety of products and a separate little deli section. Can get very busy during the middle of a summers day.
Good little shop with small butcher attached. Nice selection of food, not many jars/cooking sauces but everything needed to make good food. Special mention to the Hall's dry cured unsmoked back bacon, a bit pricey but that's because it's excellent! Thanks also for your patience serving all us tourists, we do appreciate it.

Busy, but then it was a sunny Saturday in Hawes so the whole place gets packed. Plus I think this is the only convenience type store there. Well stocked - got everything we went in for. Screens at checkouts. Friendly cashier which really makes for a good experience.
September when we were last here. Rather ashamed that I haven't posted a review before now. Really Great Service. Been shopping here for a good number of years while on holiday. Staff are so lovely and helpful, and the shop carries a really good range of products
Lovely deli counter. Friendly lady serving.
Very comprehensive village store with almost all the provisions you might need if you're visiting the area. As well as the usual range of fresh and frozen foods, drink and sundries there is also an excellent deli counter with everything from meats to quiches, pies and pasties. There is also a small car park to the rear and plenty of on street parking nearby. Our only gripe, and the for the loss of one star is that the opening times on the Spar website are incorrect. This store actually closes at 4pm on Sunday - not 5pm as avertised on the Spar website, which was a little frustrating.
