Great place to visit. There is a cheese making demonstration which you have to buy tickets for. There is a good gift shop that sells lots of local produce. You can then go into the cheese room which has small pieces of all the cheese that they produce around 20 types I would say. You can then buy a piece of the ones you like. Inn keepers is my favourite. The thing you must do is go in to the cafe. The fruit scones with jam and cream are huge and the best I think you will find anywhere.

This was fun, a wet day diversion to a management buy out success story. Not an enormous amount to see, but good to learn the history of the place and see that big business doesn't always get it right. The best bit is the "Cheese Shop" with so many samples of so many different types of Wensleydale you could probably make yourself slightly icky. (Other cheese does exist, but lets face it, it's not Wensleydale). Get in there and try it, probably a hour or so to do it justice, eat lots of sample cheese, buy a token souvenir truckel of Wensleydale with added something extra and ENJOY.

A good place to visit. Learnt a lot about how cheese and butter are made. Gift shop full of weird and wonderful things to buy. The deli selling (and sampling the different cheese) us great. Coffee shop a little slow but friendly service and plenty of seating both inside and outside. If we had eaten less for breakfast would have had lunch in the restaurant. Shame nothing getting made at weekends but still good.

Damn good coffee... Cheese is bloody nice too! *uck-me is this Hot Cross Bun Wensleydale cheese good! Did a 200 mile round-trip for a bunch of lovely cheeses on me bike 😎 coffee was amazing and the place was definitely worth visiting

providing your expectations are realistic you won't be disappointed: It's a cheese factory tour, not a disney theme park: But the demo of how cheese is made is well informed and entertaining, and the exhibits that are part of the tour give plenty of information about the history of both the cheese, and the dale: You have to pay for the tour, but even if you don't fancy that, the tearoom/cafe, the shop, and the free cheese sampling are well worth a visit. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
