Facilities good and staff welcoming. Would be good to see members using hygiene wipes to  clean down equipment after use and staff reinforcing this practice. Classes appear to be aimed at those already fairly fit and combat or weights biased. Not keen on exercising in full view of busy gym either.  Would be nice to see aerobics or step class available one evening.

A great gym with brilliant facilities and a great atmosphere! The classes are also great and Lyndsey who takes the insanity class is fab! Hannah at the front desk is always super helpful and makes whoever enter feel relaxed and at ease with her contagious smile! Definitely recommend whoever is not super confident at the gym like me to ask to be shown round by Hannah.

I've been a member of lots of gyms but my enthusiasm for what was on offer always fizzled out. Fitness First in Basingstoke is completely different from any other gym. Firstly, a personal trainier/nutritionist called Jame Rush helped me to lose almost 2 1/2 stone. Secondly, the gym floor core classes and glute gains are run by brilliant staff who have helped to change my body shape and build strength. Thirdly, it's great value for money. And lastly it's the staff that make FF in Basingstoke - Amy, Marcie, Joy, Alex, Cormac and others. Can't recommend highly enough.

I absolutely love Fitness First in Basingstoke! Having never been a gym goer ever - tried another popular gym in Basingstoke for a year and was not impressed. Joined Fitness First six months ago and it has not disappointed! Great equipment, amazing and friendly staff and I have never seen such a clean and tidy facility in my life! The place is spotless! There is no feeling of competition with others and there is so much space. 
This gym is really keeping my interest and helping me to keep fit, in shape and shaping up in style.
I must be enjoying this venue as I had an email from them just a few days ago informing me that I am in the top 5% of the companies visitors! I go around 5 or 6 times a week . 
I could go on about the sauna, steam room, sunbed etc. Just give it a go you won't look back!

Good gym but shocking dept recovery company used (C.A.R.S)I thought i could cancel the membership by ending my direct debit. Cancel my direct debit to Fitness First as i hadn't been to the gym in months. No call from Fitness first to ask why. Two months later i get multiple rood, aggressive calls, text, emails from a company called CARS (No explanation on who or why they were calling) just asking for my personal details, which i refused to give. I've now found out after extensive investigation and paid but i will never use this gym again. A call from fitness first to explain and i would have paid what i owed and they would have had a returning customer in Jan so i can work off the turkey. Communicate before you unleash the hounds on your customers or lose them!
