You will not be disappointed. From the warm welcome, the pleasant ambiance, varying choice of menu, the exceptional quality of the food, superb wine, can only comment that this has got to be one of the finest dining out experiences we have ever enjoyed. Thank you to all the staff, dare I say it, we will be back.
The meals are outstanding and great value, absolutely fantastic! Lovely village pub, staff very welcoming lovely atmosphere. We ate here two nights in a row during our week away, would of eaten there every night if they hadn’t of been fully booked!
Fully booked for food when we arrived but the friendly staff managed to slot us in. Started with a warm foccacia with salted butter which was lovely. For main, I had sausages and mash and the hubby had burger and fries and we both thought that our dishes were awesome. Unfortunately too full for pudding but means we will have to go back again!
Absolutely delicious. Lovely menu, great size portions. Tasted fresh and flavoursome. Wonderful dining experience. Crab risotto and pork. Will definitely return.
Very delicious food and very friendly service. We had scottish eggs, korean wings and a nice sirloin steak. All very well done an served with love. Would love to come back.
Wonderful surprise to find this place. Whilst the pub classics are available, the real draw is the chef’s specials. Gastronomic delight, stunning presentation and amazing flavours. Make sure to book ahead.
Wow - what a place! Outstanding food and service. I can highly recommend taking a detour to visit. Chef Tim uses fresh local produce to serve up a true feast which is for for the eyes and stomach!! Photos do not do it justice. The pub is an absolute gem in itself with a sheltered haven of a beer garden at the back. I can highly recommend the chicken wings for starter, steak for main and an absolute must - sticky toffee pudding to finish.
Wow. Truly exceptional food. The fish of the day was incredible by far the best cooked fish I have had in years. Tasted beautiful. It looked too good to eat! Wine selection fantastic. The dessert just topped off an all round amazing experience. Staff very kind and tentative. Setting in the pub great too. Nothing else to say... hats off to the chef. Oh draught doom bar too... Thank you
Handsome building and lovely pub/restaurant. We enjoyed a delicious meal for two with whitebait and mackerel for starters and chickpea burgers for main. Too full to enjoy a dessert! Friendly and professional waitress. Quite remote and car park across the road is dark and unlit. But this pub is certainly worth a visit.
Truly excellent food. Fantastic starter of curried courgette then a lovely main of pork 2 ways. Kids menu had something for everyone. Really enjoyed it. Not cheap, but food completely justified the price.
