Barclays Bank

Disappointing ! Walk in today for opening a new bank account, truly a bit earlier then my appoitment time. Want upstairs, took a sit, a nice guy asked how he can help me, also asking the name of the person that I suppose to have my appointment with.. Yes, she will be a bit long, pointing to a lady.. ok! And wait, and wait.. looking at the lady that was very busy doing nothing, no problem.. my time didn't came yet. After another while, she decided to come and ask me to come over. By the time I was making myself comfty she was staring at me impatiently.. I gave her my documents and before I say down she said she can't use that (a bank statement) coz is not from the last 3 months and bla bla.. ok, but when I spoke with another person on the phone, didn't mention what kind of statement I need. Yes but I still can't use it.. I said yes but none mention.. I spoke with somebody on the phone.. didn't mention, he said is fine a statement. I can only apologize for that, she said very cold. I was having with me an envelope which I put on the desk and I turn it over so she can't look at it, after she asked me, do you have anything else in the envelope so I can check? NO! and I left, she didn't even stand up.. SHAME! No like this you treat a potential new customer! Waste of time and enery..

Promised a replacement card then when you phone to find out where it is they tell you the Technicalities of producing and dispatching it. Now looking forward to two days enforced holiday as have no cash for diesel but will be looking for another bank that does what it says.

No reliable, waste time. 1, the first time, one week ago, my husband went to change our address and required the bank statement with the new address on 8th April, the lady on the desk told us that it would take 24 hours to update the address, so we can print our bank statement online, but it didn't change after many days. We can't print the bank stantment. On 11th April , my husband went to the branch again, to order the bank statement to post to our new address, it said it will take 5 working days, but until today, we didn't get any post. On 18th April, We saw the online banking, the new address still no change on the account we required, so my husband called barclays bank customer service, they said that address didn't change, they have to change new and re order the bank statement and post to our new address again, to take another 5 working days... Only change a address and post the bank statement , it have to take more than 10 working days and too many mistakes... what a horrible service ! I went to Natwest bank to changed the address and print the bank statement ,only 5 mins, done. Such a big different !

Friendly and helpful staff. You don't always need to make an appointment to see an advisor.

I went to pay in some money today and needed to know the balances on different accounts. The bank's system was down but a young woman took me to a comfortable area and rang her own head office to find the amounts. She had to use the normal customer security process and wait with me in the long New Year's Eve queue. She made out all the payment slips for me and did the manual arithmetic on my payments. She was very kind and very efficient. Thank you so much.
