Super friendly staff! I had problems about my online bank due to changing a new phone. Melissa helped me solved the Barclays Mobile App issue with very efficient and professional skills. She also provided me some useful advice for opening saving account. Katie tried to help me set up the e-wallet on my new phone patiently, though we didn’t make it due to phone’s issue. I appreciate both ladies’ kindness and help. All staff in this branch were greeting customer in reception, which makes people feel warm while waiting. :
From the person that greeted us in a "I don't care at all about you get out of my face faster " way, to Helen D that was to do a change on the account. She was so poor in every aspect of customer service it is appalling. Wasn't understanding of us especially that we had a toddler with us, cold and distant. You name it. Really hope I never have to visit this branch ever in my life. Barclays, poor job from your hiring manager hiring these people that treat customers like this. I hope to switch banks pretty soon anyway. Thank God.
Went in to pay in a cheque. Has to use machines as all paying-in windows closed. Don't think you can beat the personal touch!
Went to the bank to make an international payment - bank was late opening and the cashier but the wrong swift code in resulting in a cancelled payment - luckily the money came back into the account otherwise would have been £5,000 down. Absolutely Ridiculous
Had an absolute nightmare with my help to buy ISA when buying my first house. More than one branch as well, not just this one. If you are thinking of opening an account try elsewhere because the organisation here is awful.
Queues far 2 long only 1 cashier on ,the rest hanging about talking
An hour wait to access counter service to repeat ID verification because it was lost last time. As ever plenty of staff trying to divert people onto self service, but only 1 on the counter, not very helpful after closing all our local branches! Number of people in branch exceeded safe limit advertised on door, staff at various points too close to each other and customers, sometimes with no masks and at others with masks below chins. I would never hold personal or business accounts with barclays, I just need to convince the charities I'm involved with to move elsewhere too!
Waited 50 minutes to pay in charity money at Cannock branch. This is NOT acceptable. When questioned why only one cashier I was told that this was normal as it wasn’t busy. Disgraceful!! Just glad that this isn’t my bank. When I then went into HSBC my bank I was attended to in 5 minutes. Need to get their act together.
Went to this bank on the day of lock down and had to queue with everyone else, only to find out when I got to the front of the queue I couldn't go in and cancel a standing order or withdraw some money. Only to be told by a VERY rude Barclay employee that I shouldn't be wasting their time and stay at home, if that was the case they shouldn't have been open in the first place. I went to Aldridge branch a few days later and they were more helpful!
Been using Barclays for 10 years, but avoid the Cannock Branch as the service is just so slow. Usually use Rugeley but that has closed along with most branches. Today I wanted to pay in cheques and cash into my business account I now have to queue because they removed the drop in machine There was one counter open and a big queue, I wouldn't mind so much if there wasn't 2 members of staff at the entrance doing nothing but asking 'How am I?' Not great mate to be honest, I've got a business to run and I'm wasting half an hour doing what should be a 5 minute job. People in front and behind me started chatting to me and all agreed that this branch has a very low level customer service and the waiting times are just not acceptable.
