Great combination of old British style environment and American 1960's table settings. The food was wonderful all cooked to order, you want fast (instant) food this is not the place for you. We ordered nachos and chilli, only took about 10 mins to arrive, but I know it was freshly cooked with great presentation and personal service. We sat by a log fire on that cold morning, could not be bettered. No logos any where. Just great food and proper coffee served in proper cups, not disposable, much better for the environment.

With the new authentic ameri-mex style menu, the food has returned to a more familiar style to that which made the shop more popular in the past (as the Bean Encounter). I tried the burrito and the flavors were amazing. As always, the staff are polite and attentive and you never feel rushed or like you are putting them out.

'The Bean' is just a nice location. If you want to meet for coffee & cakes it's one of the best indie cafes in Stafford. Food is also out of this world, sure the menu's not the biggest but when the quality of the food is that good it doesn't matter. I thoroughly recommend the Route 66 burger with a side of potato salad. One of the best burgers around. It's more than just an eatery. It's tastefully decorated, well run with friendly staff. There are two main rooms and I believe it's also available for hire. Every month there's a meet-up of the local web community for instance. A good place to meet good friends. Recommended.
