Story

Royal Stafford, based in the historical Overhouse manufactory buildings in Burslem, is at the forefront of innovative British design and manufacturing.

Come and join us at our Ceramic Cafe, Monday - Saturday 9.30am - 5.00pm and create your own unique handpainted piece!

As well as the Royal Stafford ranges of tableware and giftware, a new venture, 'Designers @ Royal Stafford' was born. We recognised that there was a wealth of talent in design who for various reasons were unable to fulfil their ambitions of seeing their ideas developed.

Royal Stafford has long been associated with some of the most iconic design houses ‘Conran Shop’, ‘Anthropologie’, ‘Liberty’, ‘Heals’ to name but a few. This experience was invaluable in establishing Designers @ Royal Stafford, to nurture, support and bring to the market products for a new generation of designers.

Royal Stafford are one of the few remaining factories producing traditional high fired English earthenware, which draws its warmth and charm from the natural clays which are still mined in the South of England. It was ideally placed to develop through modern technology, this historically noble material, to become a robust and durable friend to a new audience.

Mission

Our mission is to provide high quality homeware with the help of a dedicated team of highly skilled craftsmen and women who have harnessed time honoured potting skills with modern manufacturing techniques. Our internal design team and Designers @ Royal Stafford create innovative designs to provide unique wares for leading companies throughout the world.
