I visited this museum yesterday for the first time. Very interesting and varied displays. Clean, bright, with plenty of activities for children to do, but also great for adults. Staff very friendly and helpful. Red cafe served great coffee: good flavour. Some visitors there on the first floor were just taking advantage of it excellent position over the canal to spend some time sketching the scene. The shop had some unusual gifts made by local crafts people Easily accessible from Castle Quays shopping centre or the bus station. FREE. Well worth a visit.

Lots to learn here. I loved the idea of the light and art exhibition though it was a bit small. Good information about the Banbury cross or crosses and the Puritan era. An unusual bookshop with interesting books and great cafe right on the canal.
