Ban Di Bul is a delightful restaurant that truly excels in several areas. The food is outstanding, with each dish bursting with flavor and authenticity. The Korean BBQ, in particular, is a highlight, offering legit, mouth-watering options that are perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection. The menu offers a plethora of choices, ensuring there is something for everyone. In fact, there are so many options that it can be pleasantly overwhelming! Each selection is fresh and meticulously prepared, adding to the overall quality of the meal. The portions are generous, ensuring you leave well-fed and satisfied. Additionally, the staff at Ban Di Bul are lovely, providing excellent service with a warm and welcoming attitude that makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend trying their signature dishes and indulging in the Korean BBQ experience. With such a positive experience, I will definitely be returning to Ban Di Bul. Overall, it is a fantastic choice for a great meal and a pleasant atmosphere.
A really tasty meal with excellent service. Don’t let the weathered and unloved look put you off. From the outside, the entrance looked a little weatherworn and the displayed menu was colour washed. First off, this place is run by non-Koreans which is not an issue for me but maybe an issue for some. The decor inside is basic but it had what I came for which is the Korean BBQ. You see these in K-Dramas all the time. We had the Korean BBQ taster menu which about £36 per person with. Minimum of two people. The photos on the menu do not do it justice. The side dishes, seafood pancake and the rice came quickly and were well seasoned. The beef soup was very flavoursome and spicy. Then the server turned the burner and extraction on and brought out the main act. A meat platter with beef, pans pork marinated different ways. You then just cook them on your BBQ. If you are one of those people who complains about “Why should I cook the meal myself?” then there is an option of the kitchen cooking it for you. The meats were fantastic. Tender, well marinated and it was fun to do it yourself. A word of caution- they cook quite quickly so you will have to be on it. Our server changed our cooking plate twice automatically as they were getting clogged with meat juices. The service was quick and attentive. All in all a really fun and enjoyable meal.
I am confident enough to say that, i already tried many of korean restaurants, even in the country itself. So i am trying to be as fair and as honest i can be for this review. I ordered the pork belly with pepper and sesame sauce, but as you see in the picture, i don't see any sesame sauce on the meat. I also ordered pork belly with red pepper and red sauce, but i swear that i am really sure, they served me with chicken meat. I know how to differentiate pork belly and chicken. But when i ask the waiter, the waiter insisted that it is pork belly. The waiter that handle my order also, don't know much about their menus, it is such a shame, because as a costumer, who else should we ask anything about the menu? All i can say is... It is a "korean restaurant concept", but it is not a "authentic korean restaurant" like they claim. I hope the management can put more attention to what i mentioned above, so their quality in service can gey better in the future.
Very nice place and the staff are very helpful and welcoming. Situated in the heart of the city centre it’s easy to get to with a cosy feel inside. I like Korean food but on this occasion I thought I’d try something different which I shouldn’t have. In typical fashion my Mrs picked something way nicer than mine and I enjoyed eating her dish instead. Not the restaurants fault but me being too adventurous and picked the wrong dish which was still nice in flavour but too bland for me. Over all the food and the place is nice and would recommend as I will be trying again as I enjoyed watching the K-pop videos too
Amazing Korean food! The seafood pancake was absolutely incredible - one of the best I've had. Can't wait to come back and try the BBQ next time. Definitely recommend!Food: 5/5
Finally tried the Korean bbq here. So good! We ordered the platter the Mo Dum Gul enough for 4 people and then added an order of rib eye to bbq could do without ordering this as the platter was more than enough, kimchi, soup and jap chae noodles. They give you an option to let the kitchen cook it for you or you can do it yourself with the grill on the table- we bbqed it ourselves which was more fun.
The service was pleasant and attentive, we arrived for lunch so you were able to get the menu. I had pork ribs in a slightly spicy sauce, the taste was excellent and the sauce went well with it but there was very little meat on the bone. That was a bit disappointing. My friend was happy with her beef.Food: 3/5
Portion was great, but somehow I still think that Pochawa Grill in China Town London tastes a lot better. Cleanliness could be improved, floor was very sticky.Food: 3/5

I enjoyed the food here. It was definitely not the best korean food I’ve had but it was above average for sure. I ordered some kimchi and bibimbap. The kimchi was delicious. Bibimbap was lacking some flavour and although the dish should arrive sizzling hot, my dish arrived lukewarm. The service was not very welcoming nor friendly or assisting.
