Fantastic and unique campsite. Camping is in beautiful managed deciduous woodland well spaced out into private pitches each with its own fire pit. There is a quite family zone and a noisy adult zone far apart. It is located deep in huge woodland which is open for walks. Toilet and waste water are processed on site using sustainable wood chip composting. Bush craft classes and rope swings are a big hit with children. There is a tiny site shop which sells very limited essentials and plenty of firewood.

Nice friendly people, a little expensive for what you get... Just to many rules. Felt like I couldn't go and explore the site without doing something wrong. Would be a great place to bring your kids and if your just starting out wild camping.

Well worth the trip, if sleeping in on the floor in the middle of the wood is your thing. Clearly it is mine, hence the five stars. As detailed I enjoy sleeping in random woods and fields round the country. Where the stars are earned are the space and quality of the area. We had, as did all others, a large plot and ample area to toilets, wood and the outside world. The general site and area is well worth a walk around. Really enjoyed and would go again. I was born 15 minutes down the road and never realised the place existed...

The Birling Estate, who own this campsite, and allegedly promote conservation and countryside stewardship, are about to earn a fortune by allowing a sand quarry on their land, which is adjacent to the local village. There are clear health concerns for residents, destruction of ancient woodland, and loss of yet more of our local countryside. Please do not visit this campsite if you care about the countryside. The owners are happy to destroy a large part of it for a quick profit.

This is an awesome campsite. We love coming as it is is so natural and beautiful. The pitches are very well maintained and Karina and Mike are so helpful and friendly. They will make you feel so welcome and ensure you have a fantastic stay. The woodland is so magical. Everything about the place is peaceful. It is great for hammock camping as there are so many trees.The toilets and showers are well looked after and there is a washing up station along with recycling bins and a small shop. Everything is eco friendly including the washing up liquid and body wash which is provided. There is reasonably priced wood and kindling for sale and wheels barrows for you to carry all your equipment. It is amazing to find a campsite that alllows you to have open fires. There are also some fun events on such as Easter egg hunts and a Halloween trail for children. It is a very family friendly place with adult only camping if you want to be away from the children. The regular campers are like family as everyone gets to know each other really quickly and helps each other out. We always have fun here even in the snow! It is great to camp in the woods away from civilisation and the local area has lots of lovely places to walk. Thank you for all the fun times ☺🏕⛺
