Went for a meal with my family, beautiful lounge, staff were freindly and attentive. The Sizzle menu was very inviting. My daughter had the gammon, my husband and i were both enticed by the surf and turf which was steak and marinated prawns. The meals came out within reasonable time and LOOKED amazing but unfortunately that is as far as it went. We, neither of us have ever had such a tasteless plate of food ever! The actual ingredients were lovely but a pinch of seasoning would of made the food so much better. The prawns weren't marinated as stated on the menu so they were so tasteless it was all quite unenjoyable 😕.

I used this facility for refreshments after a relatives funeral and the room we had was private and away from the general public which was ideal. The food was plentiful and a good variety. We also used the hotel for a meal the evening before. The service and food was good but the dining area was too near the bar area and I felt people were observing us eating!

We have stayed here previously and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. This visit was just for evening drinks. The bar area is a lovely place to relax. staff are friendly and the drinks are very reasonably priced

Like this place . It's big lots of different rooms. The coffee machine is not very good though. Had some nice meals here. It's great to sit outside in summer.

An excellent Sunday carvery with good food, great service and a warm and cosy feel. Well done and thanks to the Bacchus for a wonderful Sunday lunch yesterday. Parts of the hotel are newly refurbished and we’re lucky to have such a place on our doorstep.
