Babucho frankly deserves more than 5 stars. The food was authentic and tasty and was delivered promptly after we ordered. The service was impeccable, not only were the servers very polite but they were very quick to check in with us and went out of their way to help. I highly recommend the Tricolore pizza and the potato skins.
Sunday dinner with Friends, massive Yorkshire pudding, lovely sticky toffee pudding, and my favourite amaretto sour not on the menu anymore but still kindly make for me anyway. Thank you didn't get our server name but she was absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be back Food: 5/5
Wow. Pretty aesthetic environment and fresh good quality food, bit on the pricey side payday treat but well worth the visit if you don’t mind spending a bit extra. Best Sunday lunch I’ve had in a long time, meat cooked to perfection, huge Yorkshire’s, and rich meaty gravy with a large serving of fresh veg. Enjoyed the crispy prawns with chilli dip batter light and fresh also enjoyed chocolate truffles, even if I felt like a pig afterwards
Wow wow wow Come come come and try the food at this restaurant, I don't often give a 5* but these really do deserve it. I loooooved this placeI am a bit fussy, teeny little bit lol but from entering this lovely restaurant you are greeted nicely by the friendly staff. It is really clean and tidy with lovely decor, so modern. Toilets are sooo nice and clean, which is a must for toilets. So modern. They have wheelchair accessible entrance, a ramp down into the restaurant, so you can sit where you want and they have accessible toilets also. The food is absolutely lovely. I had spicy chicken for starters dolled by sea bass, Wow I wasn't disappointed, couldn't mange the pudding. My friend had onion soup which is served in big cobbler bread, well you won't be disappointed if you order this as its really nice, I had to try it. They then had the fish cakes and fries, Wow again really nice, yes you've guessed I tried again then chocolate pudding followed, I didn't try but boy I was assured it was lovely. Yes it's bit pricy but if you can afford it go for it and try or as special treat try hear. The staff was lovely and friendly also. Few people were in so must be quite popular, you can either eat in or out. I have already recommended this place to my family and friends when I saw them today I WILL be back So I would just like to add little something extra to my review today. A lady lorna took bad at the restaurant, and the staff at the restaurant went above and beyond to help her today, they all did especially Alex. He helped me to look after this lady after she got separated from her friends and took ill. He was really lovely and helpful and phoned a taxi and made sure she got in ok. He assured her it wasn't her fault as the lady felt embarrassed for taken ill. It was nice to see they all rallied round and Alex kept checking on her to see if she was ok Well done Alex and Babucho x Kid-friendliness: Has a child menu so children are welcome Wheelchair accessibility: Has wheelchair access to to the toilets, accessible entrance and a ramp leading into the restaurant
Passed here many times and always meant to try it. Decided yesterday to pay it a visit, beautiful ly decorated interior, outside seating available. Any resteraunt is only as good as the staff it employs and the food it serves and in both cases Babucho excels. Started with french onion soup, the best I have tasted. That was followed by fishcakes in a beautiful sauce with green beans. Finished off with caramel chocolate . My friend had the chicken wings followed by the sea bass, she said both were excellent. Total cost Inc drinks £65.40 . Wheelchair access via ramp Childrens menu Wide range of drinks
Excellent service, great value for money, very well thought out menu structure. Good quality food & attention to detail. Clearly a chefs care environment in the kitchen. There is something for everyone & every budget while offering fine dining style of service within a fun / atmospheric environment without being pretentious! The creative mind behind the vision has embarked on a journey through to fruition over the past 10 years, creating a visually pleasing look which welcomes you in as you walk through the door with a warm personality in reflection. I frequent Newcastle & will definitely be returning on every visit to experience other areas of the venue which I envision offer a different vibe.
Top class food and service. Enjoyed everything we ordered. Clean and well maintained restaurant. Great ambiance orders. We ordered a starter & Desert platter along with two mains.
The interior was amazing. We turned up without a booking and they managed to fit us in, however whilst I was still eating my pudding and still had nearly a full glass of cocktail left, we were told they need our table in 10 minutes, I ended up rushing and feeling uncomfortably full. The food was for the most part ok. I ordered the chicken wings, slow cooked beef, and strawberry panna cotta to finish. We also had a side salad, and green vegetables to share. The slow cooked beef was beef brisket . Brisket is a cheaper cut that when cooked correctly can be so soft that it falls apart, but this was still quite firm. On the up side, the brisket was a good size. The green vegetables were nice and crisp. I would have preferred the Panna cotta with a bit more vanilla, but strawberry compote top was full of flavour and of a superb quality. For drinks I had lychee juice to start, and then a raspberry sour cocktail both were delicious. The rest of my family enjoyed what they ordered which included lamb shank, carbonara and tricolore pizza. Due to being so painfully uncomfortable after being rushed at the end of my meal, I would not come back here again. I don't know if it's because we didn't book in advance or if this is just how they would normally treat customers. I might have been happier if I was given forewarning about the need to finish early, in which case I could have adjusted by not ordering a dessert or cocktail.
Very nice experience , great food , lovely staff . Location was amazing and very elegant restaurant.Recommended dishesBruschetta, Lasagne
Food and service amazing. Alex our waiter went above and beyond to make us feel special. I'll 100% be back
