Opened in July 2010, the Babar Elephant has become an instant success with the people of The City of Lancaster and beyond. Situated in a landmark building dating back to 1686. Formerly the Lancastrian Hotel, the Babar Elephant has been totally refurbished to reflect the exquisite Indian cuisine that we serve. The decor is contemporary whilst being sympathetic to this stunning buildings original features.
When entering the Babar Elephant you will be met by a stunning 10 metre high stained glass window which floods the restaurant with soft, natural light, giving you the warmth and atmosphere the restaurant has become known for.
We are situated on Morecambe Road just a 5 minute drive from the City Center, we have a large private car park, lawned gardens and for our active younger guests, an outdoor play area.
