Only a place like B and Q could get away with such appalling customer service. There was absolutely 2 or 3 customer when I went, so the store was not busy at all. After waiting for 25 mins to pick a click and collect I had to ask again where my order was only then I felt they put the details in and the last 25 mins was a waste, even though I was told they are bringing my order out. To my disbelielf a lady called Amina came with my order and pretended nothing happened and I should be the one saying sorry for ordering from them .
Appalling service I had to wait for Jason and Mohammed to finish having their personal conversation before they even acknowledged me standing right infront of them.nnWhen I asked Jason for the location of an item he replied to the effect that he didn't know and didn't work in that dept and I would have to wait or figure it out myself.nnShocking service I really hope a manager reads this and the numerous complaints about poor service in this store.nnShocking and disappointing, which is why I buy most of my stuff from their subsidiary company screwfix where all employees are phenomenal and always willing to help.
Probably the least friendly B&Q. Trade counter staff are alright but everyone else acts like they'd rather be anywhere else. We got left to try and find a refund for a part finished order...nnYeah this problem wasn't a one off, or even a two off, or a five off. The staff here really just aren't helpful, we went to look for a reducer the other day and after 45mins browsing the plumbing isle could not find one with the size we needed. So we went and asked a member of staff to help and her response was 'well it should be there'. She couldn't be bothered to come and show us.nnIn the end what we did inside the store was load the app and do a click and collect to force someone to have to come out and get it. Didn't leave them with much choice then!nnOh - Matt is alright though. He seems a bit miserable whenever we see him but he's the only one who's ever been even remotely polite to me or any of my crew.
On 2 separate occasions we have experienced poor service when collecting items and when making a return. Unfortunately both encounters were with a shift manager Walid. For a return we were told the item was not sold by B&Q when in fact it was and when collecting there was only part of the order given to us only when we questioned this were the outstanding items given to us. We understand mistakes do happen but at no time was there an apology or even an acknowledgement of the mistakes. I do feel some training is required here.
The worst customer service experience ever.nWe were charged twice, and the manager, Neil, was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of being supportive or understanding about a technical issue, which was due to a fault with the B&Q card system, he behaved arrogantly and dismissively.nnFrom the start, Neil did not allow us to explain the issue. He immediately launched into a speech without fully understanding the situation and repeatedly said, “Let me finish,” which we respected and allowed him to do. However, when it was my husband’s turn to speak, Neil spoke over him. When my husband used the same phrase “Let me finish” Neil then accused him of being rude.nnWhen his colleague Jasmine tried to intervene and calmly explained that both transactions were still pending and could not yet be checked, Neil interrupted her and told her to “just check.” We were then told to wait and that, if we were indeed charged twice, we should come back at a later point. This was said without empathy or reassurance and left us feeling dismissed rather than supported.nnThis level of customer service is unacceptable. A manager should demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and fair communication, none of which were shown during this interaction.
