Me and my friends had a fabulous time at this pub, which has a glorious design including the lights and a classic clock as well as the special addition of flags! The counter is really well-presented and the seating is comfortable, at which we had nice, cool drinks.
Called in for a pint and bar meal today guaranteed cheap prices always a good selection of beers to choose from. Larger outside areas really nice decor inside worth a visit.
It's ok. Beautiful old building, with lovely garden and green surrounding. Staff were not welcoming or over excited about customer service... Been noted. Shame.
2nd time in this classic public house. Real treat to take the 15 mimute walk here. Food is tasty, staff are real cool. We'll come here again.
This 'spoons is right next to the beautiful Botanical Gardens and is ideal for a quick bite or a hot coffee after a brisk chilly morning walk. In the winter there is usually a nice fire crackling away, perfect for staving off the worst of the chill. Parking is free for a few hours, enter your reg at the bar. Staff are friendly and polite.
had a great night out on 30/09/2022. in between cleaning tables and collecting our empty glasses to ensure we could order more drinks i managed to slip in a few beers! a guy claiming to be the area manager was confrontational when my friend criticised the service. staff not brilliant and some confrontational. beer is cheap and good quality. shame about the service.
Parking fine charged although we put the car number plate on the ipad as instructed by pub staff. Horrible customer help from the MANAGER to remove the fine. The MANAGER says that she cannot contact Eurocarpark????
Excellent Wetherspoons with free parking, remember to enter your registration number on the terminal to avoid a parking fine. The pub is in a lovely setting with mature trees and grounds. Very friendly helpful staff.
Visited this morning for breakfast with my sister visiting from Nottingham. Kinda unimpressed. Drinks 2 cokes took over 30 minutes and when we asked at 25 minutes where they were, we got a curt 'we're busy' reply. Food arrived cold, undercooked and without the extras we'd paid for. When we asked for the extras, we were again told 'we're busy'. Never received the extras so effectively paid for nothing. Appreciate might have been busy/short-staffed but maybe don't charge for a service you can't deliver?
It's a Wetherspoons menu of course but nonetheless it was ideal for what we wanted. The place was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful, and this was about 10 days before Christmas. Certainly hope to visit again.
