The Auld Smiddy Inn is a restaurant & bar serving the very best of Scottish ingredients, prepared and cooked with pride and a wee bit of Scottish fun.

Story

Established in 2008, we are a family run business in the heart of Pitlochry.

We have a long time team of professionals who will ensure you have a great visit. We sell the highest quality food prepared by passionate and enthusiastic chefs. We use where possible locally sourced ingredients from the best of Scottish suppliers. We have a full bar service selling a selection of malts, gins & beer, lager & real ale. you will find us in the Michelin Guide to eating out in pubs for the last six years - this is one of the only unbiased guides out there, where you have to be invited to enter.

We have great out side space with seating at tables for 40 and we are the only restaurant to get the sun all day (when its out - remember this is Scotland!) until it goes down at the end of day.

Enjoy a spot of lunch with friends or a bottle of vino and watch the world go by, then at night come in for our early pre theatre Table d'hote menu or full evening menu. Which ever one you choose we trust you will not be disappointed. End your meal with a delicious liqueur coffee or a wee malt.

Wow!! What a great place. Food and drinks were delicious! The staff made the experience absolutely fantastic and had a big impact as they were really lovely, welcoming, helpful and very friendly. There are gluten free options available and I couldn't rate it any higher. Definitely visiting again! I highly recommend the Sunday roast. To the amazing crew at The Auld Smiddy Inn , What a gem we discovered in Pitlochry! Our visit to The Auld Smiddy Inn was nothing short of spectacular. From the get-go, the cozy vibes and friendly faces made me feel right at home. The Steak ciabatta sandwich was a culinary masterpiece —juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. A round of applause to the chef! My buddies were equally wowed by their dishes: the split pea soup was like a warm hug on a chilly day, and the Fish and chips were the talk of the table—golden, crunchy, and oh-so-satisfying. And oh, the drinks! Your extensive menu had our heads spinning with choices—in the best way possible. We raised our glasses to a fantastic meal and great company . Kudos to you all for such an outstanding experience. I'll be singing your praises to anyone who'll listen and definitely coming back for more! Great quality pub with great quality food for very reasonable prices. We took our 2 dogs in and they were lovely, even offering dog biscuits. Highly recommend the fish n chips tempura, the portions were a good size and staff were lovely. Dietary restrictions: I had a nut allergy and they accommodated me well.

Really lovely gastro pub in the centre of town. Excellent choice of cask & keg ale. Dog friendly throughout. Excellent cooking, recommend the mussel starter & venison stew. What makes the pub stand out for us is the excellent customer service. My husband had ordered the wrong main mistakenly entirely his own fault and the waiter swapped it for another dish with such speed & kindness. Great place, I hope we get to come back.

Great wee pub at the end of the main street, it was next to our hotel and we dropped in for drinks, Warm and snug bar with a wood burner going, good selection of local beers and the staff were friendly, has a good vibe to it Food: 5/5

Such a great place for Mothers Day lunch! The Sunday roast was fantastic ! The bread was amazing. We also had the chicken salad… it was good, but we’d all wished we’d order the roast! Great service in a cute town! Great stop in our roaming tour!Food: 5/5
