Had a lovely short break, fantastic staff, above and beyond all apart from the funny bedtime stories!! Lovely clean room but en suite facilities a bit lacking, only a toilet and a sink, had to request toilet paper Could do with some better tea making facilities as I only had one cuppa. Overall a positive experience, highly recommended
Lazy, incompetent and malicious. I have had officers laugh at me and my family when another family member was arrested despite the rest of us having nothing to do with the crime. Two family members have been burgled with next to no help from them. One of the burglars was caught, with my mother's stolen items in the car, however since these were things like heirloom jewelry pieces and my mother doesn't have the receipts they couldn't prove ownership and are refusing to return them. Racism is also rampant with several of my black and Asian friends being stopped unlawfully, and strangely enough I have never even seen a black officer either. Terrible police force with terrible and abusive officers. If you have a problem vigilantism is sadly your only recourse as the police here will do nothing to help you.
I reported a confused driver who had travelled through five police areas. He was eventually pulled up and rescued by Bedfordshire police, PC Casey, was the compassionate face of the force and I am truly grateful.Having dealt with four other forces I can tell you that Bedfordshire were outstanding in communication, empathy and sensible resolution to the problem. Thank you so much.
I am still awaiting a response to the complaint logged yesterday regarding the whereabouts of the vehicle wrongly seized by yourselves The curt response I received yesterday did not answer my question despite me having received my licence back via the court when proof of a DVLA error was submitted. Despite communication from SBS Solicitors and myself, I am no nearer having my car returned or even knowing where it currently is. Please update me within the next 24 or I shall escalate the matter to your Chief Constable Gary Forsyth or alternatively to the Police Commissioner. I look forward to hearing from you
Subjected to an 18 month campaign of insults and racial abuse, which was a "bit of banter" The words of my former employer. Sent him 4 text messages reminding him that he thought more of a wheelie bin he was renting than the woman he used as a plaything,the truth. Was cautioned by a PC Killern for harassment, apparently when I was being called a "thick Irish c#@t" that wasn't harassment it was fun. If I was black , the people that abused me would have been arrested that is a fact.
Absolute waste of time!! Our shop in Bedford city centre has been robbed 3 times in less than 12 months. We have clear CCTV footage which we have sent to the police and they have not bothered to do a thing! I have left voicemails requesting them to call me to report yet another theft that happened in the shop yesterday and surprise surprise nobody has bothered to call me back!!! What is the point in me paying council tax? This is why crime is getting worse because the criminals know the police are not interested in pursuing anything!!
Yesterday my husband and I was on our way back from Bedford college after I had enrolled for an access course. We do not live in Bedford so we were following sat nav. There were two police officers driving up the road while we drove Down, they drove passed us done a U-turn then followed us round the round about put the lights on and stopped us. Our car fully insure my husband is an advanced driver so we knew it had nothing to with his car/ his driving. So my husband stopped. 'You alright mate?' My husband asked 'Yeah we just wanted to know why you went round the round about??' Seriously??????? They stopped us for no reason followed us because we were black. I am ashamed of this police system. My husband and I both hold good jobs we have children of our own and know the law. Stopping black people because we are in a 2018 plate car is not acceptable. This is my 3rd time in Bedford I do hope my husband those not get stopped again while dropping me to college. At least stop people for a reason, why is armed police stopping us for no reason? Really means you have too many police officers with nothing better to do, then sit a look for black people.
absolute joke. even the 1 star seems too much. They act like they care about human wealth-fear, when they through out a young woman on the streets at 3am with no were to go in the cold with no proper cloths.
A lady police person Number 299 attended my mum who fallen out of her bed and being bed bound was unable to get up. The police lady give my mum brilliant Service that was way beyond normal and showed Bedfordshire Police Service at it best
Cell was clean and comfortable; a definite improvement to Greyfriars. Although the addition of an outdoor cage would be highly recommended. A well dressed gentleman kept waking me up which was slightly inconvenient. Food was ok, I had the beans n wedges. Tea was excellent. Overall service was friendly and I even got a free pair of slippers and the offer of a free ride home Would recommend to friends
