We stayed in the Bell Tents at Atlantic Camping. They were very big, and could easily have fit a family of five. It was completely waterproof and had a large storage box and two mattresses which were very comfortable. There was an electric outlet which was good to charge our devices with, but you are not allowed to plug in things like hair dryers and kettles, which I find quite unfortunate as it would have made the experience better. It was extremely cold during the night and we're stayed in July! the tent did not hold heat at all, and we had to buy more blankets to stay warm. The gas stove we were given as a paid extra was adequate, but we were not provided with a lighter so we couldn't light it, until a kind neighbor let us borrow his. We found the toilets and shower to be fine, except when the toilet roll gets stuck in the holder, which was annoying and happened more than once. My biggest criticism of Atlantic Camping is the shower, it is heated with a gas canister and has no temperature control, so the water comes out scalding hot. And this is not an exaggeration! I couldn't stand under the water because of the extreme heat, and it was heart breaking to think of the children staying their who have had to endure it. The location of Atlantic Camping is good if you have a car we don't not too far from the town Bude. However if you don't or can't drive, you shouldn't stay here as the walk to Bude is very long and is mostly on roads with no paths, and you will have to walk across the motorway. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Atlantic Camping for a good experience
Loved loved loved our cottage, clean, stylish and best shower I’ve ever had. Attention to detail was fab and all excellent quality kitchen goods. Management have used signposts to help you get into town by going though a small industrial estate which was really helpful. Sadly, the weather was shocking for us during our stay but the warm and cozy cottage made up for that. Comfy bed and lovely underfloor heating. Would definitely recommend this place
We stayed at this camping site & to be honest it wasn’t good. Their biggest downfall is only Two showers & two toilets made from sheds with large gaps so people standing outside can look in, no privacy at all, these are at the bottom of the hill for around 200 campers to share & someone mentioned there are the same at the top. They were gross smelly and hairy from other users, The showers were shockingly going cold then boiling hot and so on, they take you by surprise. They DO NOT accommodate for DISABLED PEOPLE!! The hill was steep for those needing to use walking aids. The toilet tissue dispenser was well out of reach shown in one of my photos, I’m disabled & I had to keep getting off the loo to get paper. The information given on arrival is quite laughable really, is that ALL campers are to abide by their 10.30pm no music, Staff did nothing to stop a few campers loud music blaring away til 01.34am. We certainly will not be visiting there again. The best place we use is Edmore Park Campsite in Wainscorner further down the Atlantic Highway.
Booked a Bell tent for a week. Turned up, nobody to check you in. Tent had not been cleaned. Rudely told it had been. Then there is a circus in the field behind, playing loud music till 9:30pm. Owner not interested, I said we should have been advised of this. Reply "I can't be emailing all the people who have booked". Toilets/showers aren't cleaned enough, lack of hot water. Owner is rude and obnoxious. Avoid.
A lovely clean, spacious & quiet site. Reception are really friendly & price very reasonable. There could be more showers & toilets as there could be a problem in high season. Otherwise very happy .
I booked a getaway for a large group as my family is huge and we all had not seen eachother all summer... thought it would be a nice way to end the summer for the adults and the children too. We had 15 adults and 8 children and all excited for our getaway. It took 6 long hours to drive down to the place including stops and we were all exhausted. The pods and hideaways and the tree house were pretty awesome and comfortable and we all settled in quickly. Bude is a short drive away and we had everything we needed close by including the beach. Only downside would be the management there was very standoffish... I would have preferred to deal with the kind man I spoke to on the phone arranging all of this but he was unwell... there was numerous complaints the whole time about our screeching children direct quote and she even went to say she has had worse... we were a large group and were bound to be loud when we speak as it was a group activity. There seems to be some sort of curfew in place so not sure if you were not allowed to be out and about at a certain time? Which is ridiculous as you are on holiday. so I would suggest not going as a large group as she clearly doesn’t like the noise. Apart from that it was ok... some TLC to the bathrooms wouldn’t hurt either. But it was all memorable all the same.... we are definitely booking a place we can be free to socialise next time as I felt I was in boarding school after this last trip.
We're just back from a wonderful stay at Atlantic Farm Cottages. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable with modern features and the staff on-site were very welcoming and friendly. The site itself is just a 5 minute drive from Bude and about a 20-25 minute walk which is ideal. Looking forward to our next visit!Rooms: 5/5
We stayed in the surf pods and they are amazing! Each pod is perfectly ecuiped and very spacesus. It's adorable clamping. Definitely recommend it to anyone. Within walking distance of Bude town which has lots to offer.
Everything it was ok! It is an incredible place and I really recommend! The only bad thing it's been the shower.. most of the times the water was cold. For the rest everything was nice
