This is our new favourite spot in Cornwall for a family holiday. We love Cornwall in the off-season and especially love Broomhill Manor and Bude. Everything you could want in terms of facilities - indoor pool/hot tub/sauna, games room, on site tuck shop and bar, extensive grounds. The hosts, Philip and Louise are friendly and welcoming. We hired a dog-friendly cottage with enclosed garden and private hot tub, and it was cozy and relaxing. We LOVE the sea pool at Bude, Summerleaze beach, and the short hike to the pepper pot. We did cold water swimming nearly every day. There's also a pub you can walk to, wonderful massages and beauty treatments from Hazel, and hand-delivered dinners from Nicky. We will definitely return. We have stayed at Broomhill Manor for many many years, and it just gets better every year. Round House is cosy and comfortable. The bathroom and main bedroom are wonderful.nI particularly enjoy the outdoor pool. It is warm even when the temperature outside isn’t!nThe young peacocks are growing fast and will soon be free to wander around the beautiful grounds, which are always displaying fabulous blooms whatever time of year we choose to come.nThe recent offering of a cocktail bar, three evenings a week, enables us to meet the other holidaymakers for a chat and even to play games. Philip and Louise generously share their time with us and are fun to be with. They do all they can to help us enjoy our stay. We always have a great time, even when the weather is not quite as we’d wish.nBude itself, is a delightful town, with gorgeous clean beaches and a sea pool, as well as plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants to suit everyone. Cliff walks are stunning, as are walks along the beach which enable you to appreciate the fascinating sand patterns and rock formations. So much to do and to enjoy!
10th visit back to Broomhill Manor and we loved our stay in this little haven on the edge of Bude. This time we stayed in Puffin which was clean and perfectly presented with very comfy beds. The new private garden addition for this season on this property was lovely and a real sun trap for a morning cuppa. The guest drinks evenings, hosted by Philip and Louise, continue to be a highlight too. Thank you for another lovely week, we look forward to our next visit.
For a family holiday near the coast look no further. A generational holiday location coming as children, returning as parents and grandparents. Philip and Louise are friendly, welcoming and relaxed hosts. There aren't many places that feel as calm and quiet but with a social element too with adults and children coming together on bar nights. Pools, tennis court, games room all popular but rarely busy. An amazing place to feel like home but be able to explore Devon and Cornwall. Will be back again have lost count how many visits now!
This was our 5th visit and Philip and Louise didn’t disappoint. Lovely accommodation lovely atmosphere lovely hosts and great facilities to accommodate all ages . Will definitely return again
