I recently visited At The Chapel and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience despite the promising venue and good food. We placed our initial order and it took nearly 30 minutes for our coffees to arrive. To make matters worse, one of the cups was dirty which is simply unacceptable. We ordered two cooked breakfasts and a breakfast roll, which took 50 minutes to get to our table. During this time, we noticed that tables who came in after us received their food much earlier. This inconsistency in service was frustrating. There was no check-in on our table while we were eating, and the young waiters seemed indifferent to providing a good dining experience. Their lack of care was evident and disappointing. Despite these issues, I must say that the food was good, and the venue itself is beautiful. Additionally, a more experienced waitress did apologise for the delays which was appreciated, but it wasn't enough to offset the overall poor service. Given the service we experienced, I'm hesitant to return or recommend At The Chapel. There are certainly areas that need improvement to match the quality of the food and the venue.
Fantastic service for us humans and our two dachshunds!! Lovely staff, wonderful chefs who create beautiful food, our supper was delicious! The room was clean and comfy. The sourdough bread was that great we brought a loaf home! The only thing was some light bulbs where out in the room and no water provided albeit the moment I informed the staff about the water they couldn't bring it quick enough fo us and a bowl for our dogs thankfully. Thank you all.
Exceptional food in an exceptional setting served by exceptional people. Thank you to everyone involved in today's visit 07/04/2024. We couldn't fault anything. Roast chicken with all the trimmings was the best roast we’ve ever tasted. Outstanding. Pizza and chips the best outside of Naples.
I enjoyed my meal it was excellent. I would have liked more choices that didn't include pizzas. But what we had was excellent. Service and ambiance was very good. Just don't want the same thing again next time which puts me off a bit. Should lunch and evening menues be the same?Service: 5/5
I had a delicious Sunday roast beef with all the trimmings and a super tasty tiramisu to finish. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I’d highly recommend. The rye bread bought from the bakery was also of great quality. Food & drinks: There’s a cool and quirky bar hidden away downstairs
We had an amazing lunch at At the Chapel. The pizza is much better than even the photos indicate! The Diavola is out of this world. They have a special lager that is extremely light - my partner tells me the most difficult kinds of lagers to brew - however if you don't like a very light lager perhaps opt for something else! The only little downside was that the waitstaff seemed annoyed at us when we made some reasonable requests a dip for our pizza so that is where I have dropped a star for service. Thank you for overall a great time!
We didn't stay here but had lunch. Food was gorgeous and we were served by a really lovely waitress. We didn't feel rushed, we could take our time. Would definitely recommend and we will be going back.Service: 5/5
Visited the chapel a couple of times whilst staying in Bruton. They’ve absolutely nailed it - great, tasty reasonably priced food, nice atmosphere and lovely, friendly and very efficient service staff…nothing gets missed and very on the ball. Came back to try a few things on the menu and it was all delicious! Would definitely recommend trying as they’ve just got it right.
Staying fairly local and found The Chapel by chance. Were celebrating a birthday and stopped by for lunch. Excellent food, cooked and presented with care. Modern, healthy and delicious! Thank you Service: 5/5
At The Chapel has an excellent restaurant and I strongly recommend the chorizo pizza £15. This a fresh sourdough pizza which honestly was one of the best I have ever tasted. There is table service too, and the staff are very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant for all. They also have happy hour on Fridays from 6-9pm. Food & drinks: Happy hour 6-9pm
