Not a bad store but the freezers really perplex me. Some of them are just completely over frozen and are coating the ice cream in a thick coating of ice. I told them about it years ago but it seems no one cares. really strange as it is damaging their products which they rely on for profit…
Empty sections at the Melksham branch have been a regular problem since before Covid. Recently unable to get even bread on more than one occasion. Cheap non brands are being hidden or phased out entirely. I've flagged this up several times that Asda will lose my custom and spent 30 minutes waiting to speak to customer services line only to be told unapologetically that they are having supplier issues. They don't seem to care. So I'm not going to care about doing my main shop elsewhere from now on.
Done food order 4 weeks ago plenty of time for click and collect. Then 1 day before pick up sent my wife a message saying few of the items was not in stock pain .Also I added doombar to list saying plenty in stock I was short on that order .I've had problems with asda before home delivery service never turned up thought give them second chance hopeless won't be having a 3rd chance not worth the hassle.
I usually order my groceries online weekly and I’m usually happy with my shop. However this week 4th November delivery I was missing £31 of my groceries. I only noticed when I looked at it all ‘pre-put’ away when it was on my countertop, so I tried to running back out to the driver but he’d already left. Speaking of the driver, I’d not had this guy before and he did seem rather flustered and wasn’t very personable. Anyway after realising my shopping looked light I checked my receipt and I had a total of 21 items missing! I called customer services immediately which I assume is in India as I really struggled to communicate with the operator. I was told to wait as the driver might come back. The driver did not come back. Furthermore he didn’t mark my order as delivered until the following day which delayed my ability to submit a refund request via the app. I submitted to refund when I was able and then the following day 6th Nov I had and email saying my refund was rejected! No reason at all!! So I called the 0800 number AGAIN and told them to refund me immediately.. I’d already had to go back out to re-buy the items ahead of my refund and physically go to the shop which defeats the object of online shopping! I’ve now received an email saying I’ll get my refund within 5 working days. So after this saga it’s easy to say I’m I’ll never use Asda for my online shop again. Customer service is awful, SOME of the drivers are clearly incompetent and refusing a refund to someone who orders weekly and spends on average £150 per week, and has never requested a refund before it just ridiculous. Furthermore what happened to my missing groceries? I can only assume the driver from the Melksham store stole them or delivered them to other people… I have no insight in to what Asda will do to make sure it won’t happen to anyone again! In response to Asda’s reply the order number in question is 5062290000351 I’m still waiting for the refund at this point and I had no justification for the initial refusal of my refund, nor do I have any idea what happened to my groceries as the driver must have been left with at least 2 crates undelivered. Perhaps the driver needs investigating?
Every time we go in to this store there is a creepy man on the tannoy trying to sell things in deal in an eerily quiet store. It’s incredibly cringey. Also, at least one item per show is charges more on the till than as advertised on the shelf which results in a 15 minute trip to customer services while a member of staff slowly goes to verify the correct price. Probably the worst supermarket in Wiltshire.
Bought some polish pickles taste like it was frozen when we had cold whether very soft to should go to the bin
Asda- Melksham -Asda have recently been promoting the new 'Just essentials/budget range' of products in bright yellow packing, its worth noting that a cheese & Bacon Quiche in this range was £1.29 on 8th of August, yet today, eight days on its now gone up to £1.40, an increase of 11p, are we paying for the new packaging or are you trying to dupe us all? Seemingly your 'just essentials' are becoming more expensive by the month, as I noticed today, 26th September, the Quiches have now leapt from £1.41 to £1.79, that's just under 40 pence rise on that product alone!!!!
Empty shelves every single day! And the staff say the amount of waste they have on a daily basis is awful!.they seriously need to improve this store and it’s stock control as it’s absolutely disgusting!.it’s been like this for years
While the shop itself is fine, it always stinks of sewage right outside the entrance. Been that way going on about 7 years now as far as I can tell. Grim.
UPDATE BELOW. I had shopping delivered on 01.04.21 and as usual it was generally fine, one or two substitutions. But what i find strange is a leg of Lamb that i ordered was unavailable and left off my shop. However it was still available on the website and has been all the time since, photo taken on 03.04.21. Also no substitute product was sent, ie, a joint of pork, beef or even a chicken. I tried to telephone the store several times to inquire about my order but could not get through. The same automated message every time, we are busy and cannot take your call and then cut off. On this occasion i feel very dissapointed with Asda. They are usually better than this. UPDATE: Just had the same experience with a microwave oven. Showing in stock on 18.10.22, ordered online and not in stock the next day. Still showing as in stock on 20.10.22 at 17.30pm. I can understand this with smaller items but how many microwaves do they sell in a day in one store. Just to top things off Asda charged me for the microwave and i have to wait 3-5 days for a refund.
