Mostly good all round store I’ve been using over the last year. I normally use self service checkouts where staff are normally mediocre. However “Dan” offers 5 star service as I have noticed on multiple occasions over the last few months that he makes an exceptional effort to serve people when you need assistance for approval etc on these checkouts. Even when he is passing by and the staff overseeing the self service are not paying attention I’ve had Dan come over from near the veg section to help. He’s always been jolly and feels like he is happy to be of help. Staff like Dan deserve recognition and appreciation because while he would likely say he’s just doing his job; the reality is that he brings a higher level of effort and attitude to this sort of job that others rarely do. It’s his attitude that makes exceptional businesses that people value!
Able to purchase everthing on my list with good date times on my fresh food lines.nThe lad overseeing the self service checkouts was extremely busy and working a very large area on his own, however he reminded focused, polite and very attentive.
Only 1 till open today with a very long queue. Staff are very grumpy and short tempered . When asked for help on the self service tills the member of staff barked at an elderly couple from behind the self-service tills. They were unable to find a code. ...... Sainsbury please train your staff to be polite to customers that choose to spend their hard earned money in your store. I have only met 3 nice members of staff in your store.
Huge place, yet no café, oddly.nGot food and petrol. No problems. Quite busy. Managed to choose a clunky trolley!nNo negatives at all.
Hanging POS across the store as well as numerous shelf based POS stating “Buy 3 Save 25% on selected Taste the Difference wines. Small print says must be over £6. Picked up 3 bottles of the Taste the difference Prosecco priced at £8. Got to the till, guess what .. no discount. Went to customer services. Lo and behold this product is not included even though there is a shelf advert directly underneath said product with advert for 25% off when you buy 3. In my eyes that’s blatant false advertising. How many people have been ripped off by this is anyone’s guess. Don’t believe the point of Sale adverts people. Oh but if I come back Friday I can buy 6 and get 25% off. No thanks I won’t risk it.
