The home delivery service gets worse and worse every single week. Always ‘this item is out of stock’ or ‘this item has been substituted’ usually with a a completely unsuitable substitute. This week really took the mick though. I placed an over just under £101. I’m currently waiting for a nearly £24 refund due to ‘out of stock items’. That’s nearly a quarter of my entire shop! Not to mention my delivery slot was booked for between 7.30-8.30pm, only for me to receive a text claiming ‘they’re running a bit behind’ and my shop would arrive at nearly 10.30PM!!! Should never of bothered booking a shop to be delivered this week as I still have to go out and buy all that was missing, including 4 bits of fresh meat, so out of the 6 dinners that were supposed to be delivered, I can actually only make one of them! 4 due to missing meat with no substitutes offered 3 of the missing meat was 3 packs of chicken breast, they very easily could of sent a larger pack at the very least and 1 due to other ingredients being out of stock. My order was placed in the early hours of the morning to be delivered in the evening and in that time 8 of my items went out of stock, including items that were part of a deal, meaning I no longer received said deal. Home delivery should have a separate stock storage area. Absolute waste of time and money, and made things so much more difficult rather than easier. Will not be using again, the £5 voucher I was offered ‘for my troubles’ is like a slap in the face. As a struggling mother, I’m now sat trying to figure out where I can pull £25 from to get the missing items whilst waiting 5 working days for my refund. £25 may not seem like much, but when you’re living penny to penny like a lot of people these days it makes all the difference. So thanks, Burgh Heath Asda, for adding to my problems and worries and making life more difficult.
Staff seem very helpful. But the price increases have got out of hand. Nothing to do with the rate of inflation around 10% as the prices started going up as soon as the brothers took over Asda, and before the current crisis. Increases of 50% to 80%+ very common. New increases every week. Many £1 products going up 60% plus, how can that be justified? I've found cheaper products down my local. 10%, 20% even 30% understandable but 80%+, No. I might as well shop local. Oh, and limiting your Essential range to max. 3 per product range is ridiculous, many ways to get round it if you are so inclined and so totally pointless.
My review is based on the 'click and collect' service... have been using this for quite some time now and always been an excellent service, however it seems now that if a particular item is not in stock no substitute is given, that's a deal breaker for me as it means I would now have to navigate the store to obtain the item, defeats the object of click and collect unless you are going to reserve the item on ordering to ensure I get my order?. Please reconsider this new rule otherwise I'm afraid I will be using a rival store's click and Ollerton service. Ps click and collect staff at pick up excellent
Absolutely fed up of 20 minute queues to check out. Been using store for 10 years but they have far more people working on the home delivery side than they ever have on the tills. Also no longer putting "best by" dates on fresh produce just means the custo.er has no idea of the freshness of the product. The only people that can help is ASDA as I've recently had grapes, lettuce and several other things that on reaching home were never going to last the week. Won't be using again. So that was last week, today I got the family shop, about £200 worth. While shopping I asked the man on the wine aisle if they had any Vino Verde, he replied I havnt a clue about wine don't know. Just like that. Again I had seen probably 8 or 9 staff picking the online shoppers stuff but when I went to check out I was confronted by a scene of chaos. My estimate would have been a 45 minute wait so I left my trolley and went home, having wasted 2 hours of my life. So I tried ringing the store, option 1 for staff,2 for customers. Pressed 2 and got cut off. So rang head office and got through after half an hour, obvious apologies but don't believe what they said. Will only use this for basket shops from now as I live close by. The big one I will drive to Reigate or Epsom. Thanks for nothing ASDA, don't go near unless you've got hours to waste.
I did an order 20 days ago to deliver but it didn’t come so next day I called them and they said if it isn’t delivered I already cancelled but same day around 12 I got a call from delivery driver to do the delivery but I told him it was already cancelled and I don’t want it now so I called customer care and they told me they will refund my money back within 5 working days but I never happened I had to called them more than 8 times to get my money and but still they didn’t send my whole money back to my account. They are making chaos and every time I called them telling different things and and making fake promises With MY EXPERIENCE I NEVER EVER RECOMMEND ASDA FOR ANYONE.BECAUSE THEY HAVENT REFUNDED MY FULL AMOUNT YET TO MY ACCOUNT… Don’t not use Asda very bad and poor customer care.
Self service tills, scan & go, basket and trolley. Sick to death of them, slow, keep having to wait for members of staff. It would be better if those staff runny to each self service till was to open up a human operated one. There are less of the man operated ones and long queues at them.
Large store but onlr 2x tills attended resulting in long queus to pay for goods had to wait 15minutes to be served discusting, told by lady at the till asda cutting back on staff, i for one will not shop there again terrible service
To say Asda at Burgh Heath in Surrey is a place to avoid is being polite. Grapes which nolonger have "best by dates" bought yesterday and when opened today found to be mouldy and half being thrown away. Shelves regularly empty and items out of stock despite Tessco having same items available and shelves full. Manned checkouts un attended "because of staff shortages " and yet home shopping staff present in large numbers on the sales floor. They sure have lost their way!!!
Bought a plain bread roll today and it had traces of a nut inside it..Not good if you have an allergy..Also my wife bought an American style salad today and the mayonnaise sachet inside had leaked everywhere inside the bag....after using this store since it opened we will never be buying from here again..
Shopped early Sunday morning, lots of items.s not stocked, staff shelf filling plus order pickers equals chaos! Shopped here for 15 years, this is the last time
