We really enjoyed our visit. So much better that we thought it would be. We visited all parts and needed five hours to do so.nThe castle is stunning to see close up. The interior is vast. The gardens excellent. All very well maintained.nUnlike National Trust properties all the guides are paid, not volunteers. They know the history well. The views across the countryside from the battlements and lovely.nI recommend visiting. It is worth every penny of the entrance fee.
The perfect time to visit Arundel Castle on medieval festival. Throughout the season, the castle hosts living history events with costumed characters, medieval encampments, and demonstrations of crafts, combat, and falconry. Really did take my breath away. There's so much to look at and to see and everything feels like it's on a grander scale than any other castle I've seen before. I would say it is one of my favourite castle. I would recommend to spare at least 2 hours for the castle and an extra hour for the gardens.
Very large and well-kept castle with beautiful interiors and impressive, sometimes intriguing decor. Bring your hiking legs with you because those steps up to the higher parts of the castle provide a decent workout.nnLovely gardens and a chapel. Absolutely soaked in historical information; memorable day out.
We enjoyed a lovely day at the Castle. We arrived just after 10am, parking was easy in the large car park. Staff were all very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and easy to find if we needed anything.nThere were tours going on, but we could still walk round at our own pace.nWe visited in the summer holiday's and although it was busy, we managed to have a relaxing and educational experience.nI would recommend a visit to anyone interested in history. Beautiful castle and grounds.
What a beautiful castle and grounds. Parking easy, right opposite and that's fabulous...nAccess, easy... pay as you go or prebook, whatever works for you. Lovely coffee shops, restaurants, spaces to chill... a ridiculous amount of history and some fabulous guides to offer insight
