I’ve been coming here since they opened post lockdown and I absolutely love it! The staff are amazing & whether it be my hair, nails or eyebrows they smash it every time. The new refurb makes it a true dreamy oasis in Kilburn - can’t recommend enough!

Honestly this salon is a gold spot in Kilburn. I'm really impressed of Rosina's work. She always know how to make my hair beautiful. Her Balayage, haircut isamazing. I'm happy to find her! I wanted to do mention Marina as well. She is brilliant with what she does. Anything like eyebrows, eyelashes, wax.
I had my best pixie cuts here but haven't been back for a while. I went this week and was disappointed. I booked a stylist because I needed advice to guide me through moving to something else. I brought a photo and explained what I liked and didn't like. I didn't feel the hairdresser was helpful, didn't offer ideas or suggestions. I felt she was annoyed from the start. She worked mostly on the back, and it looked so outdated and not what I wanted or even suited for my head and type of hair. Hardly touched the top and front, which needed so much attention as it was outgrown and heavy. Looked awful. Then proceeded to blow dry as if it was the 80s. I was left so disappointed that I got someone to finish it the way I wanted. I remember this place as being a real treat from shampooning to showing the result, with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Seems to have changed. It's a great shame.
I recently moved to London, and when I needed a new haircut decided to try the nearest salon with decent reviews. I definitely won't come back to Artistic Monkey for hair needs. I booked with Fitore as other positive reviews had mentioned her by name. I have long, thick, wavy hair and said I wanted to keep most of the length and just freshen up the layers. She asked if I wanted layers all over or just in front, and I said all over since my past cuts had included some variation and dimension throughout, but I emphasized I wanted them to be subtle and blended. Unfortunately Fitore took this and proceeded to cut in chunky layers that include some very short pieces in the back of my head. She didn't ask how I parted my hair and made the front layers based on a middle part, which I don't like to do. The front layers are very thick and awkward looking, not well blended at all. She asked at the end if I wanted her to shorten them and I said no, as I'd specifically said I wanted to keep the layers below chin level. By this time I could also tell I'd be wanting to wear this cut pulled back a lot. I like to let my hair air dry for the natural wave/curl, but it's clear now I'll need to straighten or blow dry at least the front layers to get them to sit well I don't even own either tool currently. I'm debating whether to go to another salon to see if they can blend the layers better. In sum, Fitore hardly said a word to me the whole appointment, didn't bother to confirm anything about my hair styling preferences and routines to inform how she cut my hair, and gave me an uneven cut that looks at least 15 years out of date. Can't recommend.
Oh my lordy I honestly love this place. My last visit I ended up spending the whole day there. First with a haircut, then eyelash extentions and finished with acrylics. SO HAPPY with it all. Excuse the silly face I'm pulling but I couldn't contain my amazement at the end result
Never been to a hairdresser twice before until being advised to come here. Book in advance and ask for Anna! Great with the hair and great company too
Artistic Monkey Salon is the best Salon that I have been to, The staff are so polite and offer you complimentary drinks during your treatment Hair or Beauty, its so lovely. The staff in the salon make you feel at home, I have had my hair, Nails and lashes done here and it has turned out perfect each and every time I would definitely recommend!!!!!!!!!. I can't forget the new refurbishments, Very Beautiful and modern the colours are so vibrant and well suited to the new change!!!!!!!!
Rosina hope I spelt correctly did a fantastic wash head/neck massage, cut and lovely blow-dry. Great salon, welcoming, professional, efficient and good value.
