There was quite a wait because the person serving was also preparing a lot of orders for just eat, so although the shop was empty I still had 20 minute wait, but shop was clean, food was hot, cooked fresh while I waiting ,reasonably priced and tasty, so you dont mind waiting for food to be cooked fresh if it's good ,only downside really is it cash only transactions and the nearest cash machine is down the road at Sainsbury's
Freshly cooked Cod, thick and sumptuous with properly crispy batter. Really tasty chips, correct consistency curry sauce and a nice large buttered bun! Best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time!nIt’s definitely worth waiting 5 mins for the fish to be cooked fresh!nExcellent guys, keep up the good work!
Sorry, hate to leave a bad review but I’ve never really enjoyed food from here. I always ask for scraps of batter on my chips and they never put batter on without having to be reminded, which would be fine, but when they make you wait outside you can’t remind them, and so it’s missing and you don’t realise until you get home. This happens every time, not just once. Also asked for a carton of gravy today and got mushy peas. Too late by the time you’re home to do anything about it. And the food just doesn’t taste good. The fish is always just a bit soggy but the main problem is that the food tastes like it’s been fried in old oil that’s been reheated numerous times. I always forget how bad it is, or want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but this evening’s meal is the final straw. Won’t be ordering from here again. Kind of wish I’d just had toast or something for my tea. I’d feel a bit less sick and wouldn’t have the greasy re-fried oil aftertaste in my mouth.
Absolutely delicious and well cooked fish, my wife had sausage which again was first class, plenty of chips. Would highly recommend.
Great food, quality and prices. I scored a one for atmosphere as there was no themepark rides in the chip shop lol. Great place.
