Worst experience I’ve ever had buying a car. Warning light came on on the way home from buying the car. I then found further issues. It took 2 and a half months to fix these; going to the garage on at least 4 separate occasions.nThe car was simply sold to me faulty. On top of that, I was refused a hire car on each occasion. I had to ask a male family member to get involved as I was not being taken seriously at all! Shock horror, they agreed to give us a hire car as soon as a guy got involved. I put in a complaint and it was 6 weeks before I heard anything, only for them to ask if the car was fixed it was not, no mention of the sexual discrimination and no hint of an apology.nAll communication was appalling, and they kept trying to tell me the car was fixed when it clearly wasn’t! On top of all of this, the AC in the hire car they gave me stopped working!nI am still to hear from Arnold Clark, addressing any of the issues. I have now paid the first two months worth of repayments on a car loan, as well three months worth of insurance, and had barely driven the car as it was constantly in the garage.nI honestly cannot warn people off Arnold Clark enough. I thought I was being smart going to a well know company, worst decision ever.
I recently purchased a Skoda Karoq from Paul Miller at this branch and had a great experience overall. Paul was incredibly patient and helpful throughout the entire sales process, instantly putting me at ease with his friendly and professional manner. As a former car salesperson, I found his approach refreshing. He even accommodated our busy schedule and the challenges of having two young children when arranging the collection of the car.nnHowever, on picking up the car, I did notice that while it was clean, it wasn’t quite spotless. I ended up having it privately valeted afterward to meet my personal admittedly high standards. Regardless of the price of the car, I believe everyone deserves that 'new car' feeling.nnThat said, the aftercare service was fantastic! Even though Paul was on holiday, we were assured the second key would be mailed to us, as one of the keys was faulty. The service department went above and beyond by sending someone to our home to sync the new key with the car. This level of service was truly appreciated.nnAll in all, a fabulous garage!

Wouldn't recommend getting a car from Arnold Clark South Street. After buying a car in November it took them 4 months to get my car looked at in-between 'forgetting' to put me in their diary for the servicing department. This left me with no alternative than to drive a car with ropey brakes until they could take it in and not provide any courtesy vehicle for the 2 weeks they had it despite me specifically making a booking further into the future as I made it clear I would need alternative transport whilst my car was with them.nnHere's what Arnold Clark also believes to be an acceptable wheel refurb on a car that's a few years old. According to them failing to prepare the surface properly and getting dust stuck under the paint of a full set of alloys is acceptable for the age and mileage of the car. I raised my concerns with AC but they no longer want to deal with their poor workmanship so I think I should show as many people as I can what a great job they've done before I get them refurbished elsewhere properly. nnIt's not worth the headache of dealing with Arnold Clark, do yourself a favour and go elsewhere! They couldn't give a toss about providing a decent service to the customernnEdit: I see Arnold Clark have left their generic reply to my review. I've been through their usual rigmarole of calling customer service but they deemed the job as fine so this is what it lead to in the end. A few months later and the finish of the wheel is now bubbling and looking worse due to the poor job done oddly enough I said there was issues with the job done from the get go.
Phonecall received to say car ready. Went to pickup and told in certain space. Didn't realise I was taking someone else's car home! Eventually found car at other end of car park and asked if washed and vacuumed, Was told yes. Got to car and surprise, not washed or hoovered. Went back in and complained, showed dirt on my hands from wheels and told it would get done. Service Assistant did apologise, not her fault, but this is part of the Service offered.nThis is not my car, as doing favour for friend, hence reason why it had to go to this dealership. Funny I don't take my car there, due to previous experiences. I wonder why!!
