Absolutely awful experience from start to finish. I strongly advise avoiding this branch if you expect honesty, competence, or even basic respect for your consumer rights.nShortly after buying my electric vehicle here, I reported serious battery issues — the car simply wasn’t holding a charge. A 20–25 mile trip was wiping out 70–90 miles of range. I told them twice that a basic diagnostic check would NOT detect the real problem, yet both times they told me “no fault found.”nAt my second appointment, I was promised a drive with a technician so the issue could be demonstrated properly. I adjusted my whole day for this. When I arrived, the dealership suddenly cancelled the test drive without explanation and told me they needed the car for a week — yet refused to provide a courtesy car or help me with transport.nThey also told me they had checked my tyre pressure warnings, but my vehicle app clearly showed the car never even entered a workshop, and none of the items they claimed to have checked were on the inspection report. I was literally told work had been done that wasn’t.nThe situation has now become even worse: the car will not charge at all. It actually loses battery while plugged in and makes noise from the battery/charging system. RAC and Vauxhall Assist confirmed the fault, and the dealership themselves couldn’t charge it either.nDespite all of this, I was told the new charging failure was a “different issue” from the original battery problem. How can a car not holding charge and then later not charging at all be classed as two separate faults? It is clearly the same underlying issue worsening over time. Saying otherwise makes no sense from a technical or logical standpoint.nThis vehicle has been faulty from the start and is clearly not fit for purpose, not of satisfactory quality, and not as described, as defined under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.nMy finance provider, Stellantis, reviewed the full history and confirmed that I DO have grounds for rejection. They’ve even mentioned an in-house rejection due to how poorly this has been handled. Stellantis have been helpful. The dealership, however, continues to deny the obvious and refuses responsibility.nTo summarise:nMultiple failed repair attemptsnFault progressively worseningnPromised technician test drive cancelled without reasonnTyre pressure checks claimed but NOT carried outnCar now completely unusablenMisdiagnosis at every stagenNo courtesy car despite leaving me without transportnPoor communication, broken promises, and contradictionsnFinance company confirms I have full legal grounds for rejectionnThis has been one of the most stressful and disappointing dealership experiences I’ve ever had. If you value honesty, proper diagnostics, or your consumer rights, I strongly recommend avoiding this branch.
Colin the workshop foreman has gone above and beyond to help us out. Had a car needing fixing urgently and they did that and lent us a courtesy car. Really happy with the level of service provided by him and the team.
Never had any hassle from these guys always delivered to my expectations recently bought a car sales man wasn't to pushy that's what I like so yes if your thinking about buying a car worth a visit
I saw 2 cars I was interested in on the Arnold Clark website, but as we live far away I was unable to view the cars in person. Therefore rang the branch with a few questions. Steven was extremely helpful, answered my questions and sent me a video of each car to help me decide on my purchase. The purchasing of the car was easy and I received a further video showing me how to use different features of the car when I received it. I had it delivered to a click and collect branch near me and paid a delivery fee, this was very straightforward and I was kept updated the entire time. A very pleasant experience.
Bought a car off Zac in December and ive had a couple issues with the car since then. On both occasions Zac and Steve have went above and beyond for me. Firstly they extended my warranty free of charge for a peace of mind. Secondly they covered the cost of repairs that weren’t included in the warranty. Can’t recommend this garage enough!! Thanks so much guys.
