Car Renault Kadjar purchased in December 2023 with a fault. The fault has not yet been repaired. It has been to the service 3 times, including once for 3 months. No response from the dealer for over a month, despite sending several emails. If I can't wait for a private response, I will ask publicly. At what stage is my complaint?
Andy and Duncan were fantastic ensuring that everything for my notability car was sorted as easily as possible and gave great customer service.
Out of the 17 cars I've purchased, this has to be the worst experience I've ever had from a car dealership. Nothing is ever their fault and don't take ownership of damage to bumper that should have been advised during sales process but they seemed happy to hide it from me and let me do a 500 mile round trip. According to Iain the sales manager, the damage on the attached picture is acceptable because the car is 6 years old and is considered as wear and tear?!!!! The stone chips on the car would be general wear and tear but not a scrape and bubbling of paintwork?!!. I've heard some horror stories by other people by Arnold Clark but I thought I would give them a chance because I was looking for a certain colour car and they where the only ones who had one with a lowish mileage. Their after sales are even worse and they are refusing to take any sort of ownership. I don't like writing reviews but I've never dealt with such an arrogant dealership!!.
Very helpful staff from reception to manager problem with peugeot app which peugeot customers service couldn't fix but Ayr peugeot got it working in minutes. Thanks to you all
Bought a car in January from Arnold Clark Peugeot Ayr, never again, the sheer ignorance of the team and quality of the car is unacceptable. If you can, go elsewhere! they don’t want to know the second you drive out the forecourt! Sold a car full of faults. I bought the car and it was dealer transferred to Ayr Peugeot but assured the car was ‘mint’, Upon collection day I received a message from my salesman asking if I could make collection later closer to 5pm as they had to re-valet the car as it wasn’t done correct the first time, I thought fair enough, but the day after soon realised it was a tactic so I wouldn’t be able to get a proper look at the car during the early dark, wet winter nights. Brought these issues up with my salesman both sides were poorly painted and not even the proper colour, scratches all over the car, wheels poorly painted via a mobile wheel refurb van, paint runs that had even been lacquered over with red overspray on black plastics etc etc We came to an agreement to paint both sides the correct colour and to an acceptable standard to resolve the matter after a lot of back and forth issues regarding the matter, the car left and was away 2 weeks getting repairs done, upon collection, there was a few flat areas that needed flattened and polished still, pointed these out to Mark the body shop manager @ Ayr Ford to which he got a member of staff to try and rectify who actually burnt through the paint meaning the door had to be painted again, so left without the car and collected it 3 days later. A week and a half later the car broke down, the car had to get recovered back again to Arnold Clark Ford Ayr, it wouldn’t start and once returning back to the car wouldn’t open and recovery man had to gain access to the car. The man had previously specialised in electrical car problems at a local garage and assured me there was something wrong with the electrics of the car. Because there was no error code Ayr Ford said it could be the key batteries but wasn’t looking into it further due to no error codes, how is that an acceptable fix to an electrical problem?Had the car back just 2 weeks and problem strikes again! This time the clutch slave cylinder, I had called the garage and got passed to Ayr Ford again, so we awaited the car getting recovered and sent it on its way to get repaired again. After numerous phone calls and phone calls not returned we received a phone call 4 MONTHS after to say the car had been completed and is ready to collect! Went to collect the car from Ayr Ford and noticed upon collection the wheel arch liner was hanging not fitted back correctly, alloy wheel marked from being placed face down on the ground by member of staff, oily under engine tray lying in the boot unfitted and to top it off, a gouge in the side skirt. Spoke to Allan and assured me it would be rectified to which he has turned round now and not accepting responsibility for the damaged side skirt and damaged alloy wheel, I will attach images of these. Since then he has contacted me today to collect the car but who in the right mind would collect a car damaged that was not their own fault. I spoke to Alan last Friday and told me he was sending car to the body shop to get a price to repair the wheel and side skirt but now he’s not taking responsibility, a bit of a error considering Barry devlin recovery done a damage report upon collection and delivery and damage wasn’t on the car then!? I have contacted the finance company regarding these issues as Allan at Arnold Clark Ayr ford says Arnold Clark Peugeot Ayr are not responding to him either regarding the matter. I believe he has contacted Lorraine at customer services regarding the issues and agreed to fit the unfitted parts and that’s it, ridiculous. All in the meantime still nothing back from Peugeot Ayr, they have been contacted by the finance company on the 18th of June and still not even replied to the finance company. I have been paying payments for a car for the past 6 months I’ve only had 3 weeks due to being sold a car with a list of problems. Car is a 17 reg
