Best pub in Hackney!!!! Me and my girlfriend booked the garden for our birthday and the owner Jimmy was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We had such a good time!!!!
I held my dads 60th birthday party in the outside area at The Army and Navy in November. The area is spacious, clean and bright and has great heaters, seating and huge TVs showing the sports. The drinks are very reasonably priced, the outdoor bar is modern, fully functional and stocks wines, spirits and beers from Heineken to Camden Hells. This pub is a Grade II listed public house, is cosy inside and out, has a lovely atmosphere for all ages and is loved by locals. The staff and patrons are warm and welcoming and the establishment is child and dog friendly. From my initial enquiry, during the party and after, landlord Jimmy was communicative, friendly and helpful, as were all of his staff. Jimmy helped me decorate the area for the party and also cleaned up the venue afterwards. We had hired a food van for the occasion and Jimmy made space and accommodated this request. My dad had the best birthday he has ever had and I couldn’t recommend this venue more, for hire, regular pub events like karaoke or just for a drink any time of the week! This type of old school pub is now hard to find in London and I am so glad this one is still there. Thanks Jimmy and all the team at The Army and Navy x

The garden is so lovely. The heating is so cool. Staff are so lovely she even remembered what beers we had ordered previously. Would definitely return.

Great local boozer. Often karaoke and sport. Darts boards. Great Guinness for about a fiver. No complaints.
I have only been here twice and it was very quiet due to the time of day. Played darts and destroyed my mate. Enjoyed my time here.Service: 3/5
Magnificent! I celebrated my birthday in the beer garden. Booking was easy and simple just went in and spoke to Jimmy, who is a lovely man. They were incredibly accommodating and patient with all of my friends.. there was a lot. Reasonably priced drinks. Great atmosphere. Good house keeping, clean and tidy A really great experience. Will definitely be going back again.
Great old Skool looking pub and great Guinness served on tap. Prices for beer are very good. Good helpful staff and good atmosphere.
Wow what can I say we have just had our works Christmas party here what a fantastic night! Thank you Jim and Marie for laying on the food the spread was amazing! Followed by karaoke which was enjoyed by all. We will certainly hold another event here. Jim you and all your staff are fantastic xx
